Good Mexican breakfast!

On a recent trip to Prescott, we visited the adjoining cantina for Happy Hour and decided to return the next day for breakfast. For some reason, we were the only patrons in the restaurant which can be a bad sign. However the food turned out to be very tasty. My husband ordered the Black Bean... read more

We have eaten here once a year for the past four years on vacation. It used to be very good and authentic. When we came here this time, it was very blasé. Nothing was bad or not cooked correctly, it's just that everything was bland and had no taste. Oh, well. We'll have to find another Mexican restaurant in town.

Service was fantastic from the beginning of our entrance. Darren did a great job explaining the history of the two places and accommodating our special requests. The food came out very quickly, and the portions were very generous and well prepared. The house salsas were very tasty as well. We will definitely be back and will highly recommend.

Good hot and tasty breakfast, service was friendly and prompt. Prices reasonable. Had the chorizo breakfast enchilada with a side of roasted Serrano peppers. Very good.

Lured by the good reviews I recently ate at El Charro with my family. There must be a "good" chef and a "bad" chef working here and guess which one was cooking that afternoon. Our meals were greasy & unattractive and the taco shells tasted old & stale. The guacamole was only fair. Service was barely adequate even though there... More

I'll start by saying that I was born and raised in Arizona but have been living on the east coast for the past few years. It is impossible to get good Mexican food in Connecticut so when I am back home I try to get my fill. We stopped at El Charo on a Saturday early evening and they were... More

Very good Mexican cuisine. We went there for lunch on a weekday, so it wasn't too rushed, although there were several tables filled, service was fast and friendly.

We were spending the weekend camping and we usually like to end with a restaurant meal in town. What a huge waste of time and money! Wished we had just stayed in camp and eaten leftovers...would have been a much better use of time and money! We were lured in by the positive reviews and the word "authentic". It was... More

I honestly don't understand the good reviews, and urge these people to make a trip to southern California to experience REAL Mexican food. We were just visiting Prescott for a stop over when we got a hankering for something different. I thought that in Arizona, of all places, they would serve great Mexican food. The sign on the window said... More

we decided to go because all we heard were good things, plus we were looking to try something different than our ordinary place. We went in the evening time there were about 13 tables one server and one host. We sat down got our chips and salsa. Than a few minutes later our server came up took our order. Brings... More
