Based on recommendations from some of the locals who said The Rose had a reputation for being a quiet and romantic restaurant, we decided to celebrate our 50th anniversary there and unfortunately had an absolutely horrible experience. When we arrived, we were promptly seated and the staff was okay - not great. Unfortunately, we were seated in a rather small... More

An absolutely first class restaurant. We had the escargot, traditionally but well prepared, really large pieces. Next was the veal scallopini. Probably the best I've had in years. A step above the traditional fare. The vegetables (carrots and zucchini for this evening), were excellent firm but not crunchy. None of the offensive red peppers that always spoil veggie dishes. Try... More

The Rose was convenient to our hotel, but I expected better food based on the menu and the prices. My wife and I shared the crab cakes which were excellent, but my salmon was very dry and the amount of heavy risotto overwhelmed the dish. Less rice and more vegetables would have made a better balance.

I ate here last year on the 4th of July (I've since moved to Show Low.) It is a wonderful old western-style house with tree-shaded tables in the yard and on the expansive porch (where I sat.) While I was there they had a keyboardist near me playing soft background music that was very soothing and greatly added to the... More

For the second year in a row on the eve of 4th of July and the fourth time over the past couple of years, my wife and I enjoyed a fabulous dinner at The Rose restaurant. Upon arrival we were greeted very warmly by the owner after which she offered to let us chose our seating from the remaining tables... More

We just finished another amazing dinner at the Rose and wonder why this place is not full every night. There is no place like this in Prescott with outdoor seating and food that is much better than any place else in town. From the delicious popovers to the filet, it never misses. I highly recommend it.

This restaurant is in a very small house downtown. The food is fantastic. All cooked on the premises by Ron, including fresh popovers! The service is very good, wine excellent. We had the pork chops and the veal scallopine and both were very good. We then had the ooey gooey pie which was amazing!! The staff is very attentive and... More

We enjoyed Memorial Day Weekend with our good friends in Prescott, AZ and had an amazing and wonderful dinner. From the moment we walked into this charming place we were extremely surprised with how lovely the restaurant was. The staff made you feel like family and in fact The Rose Restaurant is owned by a husband and wife. Ron and... More

My wife and I had a great meal here on a weekend trip Prescott. The entire staff was committed to a high level of customer service and both our meals - duck and veal scallopine were excellent. Ask for table 11 in the front next to to the window.
