Very welcoming staff, atmosphere was wonderful and the food was nothing less than delicious. Loved the fact that Shopie took time to come down and see us. She is one of the managers there. Will definetly be going back. Excellent experience

We've been going to Murphy's on our visits to Prescott for the past 10 years, and the service and food offered continue to be very good each time. The ambience feels like a step back in time, but very spacious, comfortable feel with wood furnishings and decor along with high stamped tin ceilings. Last week we had lunch one day... More

Yes, the meal was excellent. Yes, the ambiance was excellent, What was superb, though, was the staff - from the charming hostess, to manager Sophie who escorted us to our table to waiter Phil to the busboy who kept our water glasses full. Good food means nothing if the staff doesn't match up, but Murphy's excels on both levels. I... More

We have been to Prescott many times but never visited this restaurant. We went based on these tripadvisor reviews and found it exactly as described. A very unique venue in an 1890's mercantile on the US list of historical buildings. The l-o-n-g dark oak bar is incredible; you can almost see the cowboys all lined up drinking whiskey. It was... Had a fun afternoon visiting with a great bartender, having a Guinness and then oysters on the half shell with some really good wine.

Having spent our honeymoon in Prescott, we wanted to highlight the occasion by visiting this delightful restaurant which is indeed our favorite. We make it a point to eat here every trip we make to Prescott and we were not disappointed. My wife had the grilled salmon, though she would have preferred to have had the sauce on the side... More

Alas, we recently had our last trip to Murphy's here in Prescott (we are locals). A few months ago we ate the salmon at Murphy's and it was a poor cut and over cooked; then, we went back again and had the surf and turf (highly recommended by the server) - had to send the lobster back it was so... Family outing with small children, we requested and got a private dinning room to spare other guests from the activities of a toddler. Sadly they had overlapped booking of the room and we were hustled out before we could finish our desert. Loved the food and the service up to the point of being asked to leave quickly. We've eaten... Murphy's restaurant is located at the corner of Cortez and Willis a few blocks from the Courthouse in Prescott. This is an historic building dating back to 1890. It has been fully restored but still has the feeling of history. It still has the high tin or metal ceilings and results to sometime being noisy. The food and service is... More
