A little pricey - but great atmosphere and food!

I started here at Roy's for the Happy Hour. Very nice happy hour drink selections and appetizers. The outside atmosphere was outstanding. I sat on a couch out by the fire pit. I stayed for dinner and ordered off the menu - spicy shrimp which was excellent. I had the banana Crème Brule for... read more

Any time we are in USA, we like to seek out Roy's if there is one in the vicinity. This one, in the JW Marriott at Desert Ridge is our favourite. The tables on the patio, with the Tiki torches around the outside, give a tropical feel (even though you are in the desert) and the food is of a... More

Went to the Roy's located in the JW Marriott in Phoenix. We were 1/2 hour early for our reservation but were seated right away with no problem. Service was quick and attentive. We had the short rib appetizer and the duck spring roll appetizer. We split the swordfish entre which was sufficient. All were very good. To top it off... More

Very good chain of upscale restaurants oriented on fish and Hawaiian flavor. We celebrated my son's 21st bday with the family. They gave us a private room which accommodates up to 20 people. Created a personalized menu. Service provided was outstanding from the moment I made first inquiry to the very end of our meal. Food was delicious, fresh, well... More

Lots of chefs specials and options. Very pricey but great food and service. The pork chop, lobster, steak and swordfish dishes were amongst our group favorites. they had some great appetizers too. Several people traveling with us went back four nights in a row!!

Make reservations. When we arrived there were quite a number of people waiting. We were seated immediately because we had made reservations. I would describe the ambiance as soft elegance. Service was prompt and polite. Our drink orders and food came promptly. I had the blackened Ahi and it was special. I normally order Ahi if it is available when... More

Hotel restaurants are often disappointing. But this was not. Good variety on the menu and helpful guidance from the server. Our party of 6 shared apps, which gave us a good feel for the variety.

A decent selection for a hotel. Not the worst and not the best. We liked it more each time we went. The services were mixed. The staff members seem to be trained to push certain items. We ignored the recommendations and picked from the menu what we wanted, not the staff.

Roy's service, again, was great for the family. The server immediately brought out snacks for the kids to keep them busy while adults took time to review the menu and have a cocktail. The kids meals come with an ice cream sundae for dessert which the General Manager delivered to the table himself. And when my daughter spilled, he came... More

The happy hour features $7 apps and $3 draft beer. Food is excellent, even the wagyu beef burger (which is frequently criticized on other review sites).
