Very Accomodating for the Family - Food Just OK

Roy's service, again, was great for the family. The server immediately brought out snacks for the kids to keep them busy while adults took time to review the menu and have a cocktail. A decent selection for a hotel. Not the worst and not the best. We liked it more each time we went. The services were mixed. The staff members seem to be trained to push certain items. We ignored the recommendations and picked from the menu what we wanted, not the staff.

The happy hour features $7 apps and $3 draft beer. Food is excellent, even the wagyu beef burger (which is frequently criticized on other review sites).

Beautiful setting, very expensive dining. Not worth recommending. Much better places to eat in the Phoenix Scottsdale area.

Went here twice during our stay at the Marriott, with wonderful food and outstanding service each time (even when we arrived 5 minutes before the kitchen was closing!)

We took our 3 kids (11, 7 and 7) here for dinner on our first night of staying at the JW Marriott. It was wonderful. Everything we ordered was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised at the kids meals. They came with a little appetizer platter, entrée and sundae. When we came they asked the kids names but we didn't know... More

We live in Arizona and met another couple for dinner at Roy's. Food was prepared exactly as requested. Service was attentive without hovering over us. Very good meal. Hotel/valet ripped us off for parking. No close place to the hotel the park so we had to valet. We were not told there was a charge for parking. The hotel/valet "discounted"... More

The breakfast buffet is the best part of their day. Lots of choices and good service. You also have the choice of the full buffet and a more "continental" style. A very nice touch for those of us that don't need massive amounts of pork and big omelets for breakfast. The rest of the food, is decent, with good choices... More

Best happy hour at hotel, however service needs some work on acknowledging customers and service. From being ignored from the hostess (I was the only one there) to waiting 5 minutes, I got water but he couldn't take my order. I eventually had to get up and find a server. It was not busy. On a better note, food is... More

If staying at JW, this is a good choice. Not my favorite place but ate there due to ease of access. Service probably jaded my view coupled with my wife's dish only having 3 scallops - that's it...the entire entree... Swordfish was fishy, but the best thing we had was the seared tuna. That was incredible! Would I go back... More
