I treasure Sophie's as my quiet lunchtime get-away as well as my perfect place for dinner with friends. Thomas is my favorite waiter who has excellent timing of the courses. The onion soup is more onion than broth but everything else on the menu is better than imagined. Had the Coq au Vin today for lunch - what an indulgence.... More

We purchased the restaurant.com certificate which was valid for lunch or dinner. When menus came to the table, the waiter proceeded that only the dinner items on the menu were valid for the restaurant.com coupons. The prices started at $19 and up. We went for the lobster bisque and they had no soup. What a disappointment. I think they need... More

Sophies is a hidden Gem in Phoenix ,Az the food is to die for service is excellent wine list is great and the decor and vibe is small french bistro in Paris. We tried a little bit of everything from Escargo, to great soups, salads, and fantastic deserts topped off by a great expresso. The wine list was very good... More

We really enjoyed the Lobster Bisque and both had salads - the bread was something you could each all night and likely not finish your dinner!

Our party of four tried Sophie's for a special occasion after many years of hearing good things about this restaurant and we were glad we did. With paintings on the wall, linen tableclothes, and cloth napkins in quirky napkin rings, it's a fun place to eat without that overly formal feel. You'll want to wear nice clothes, but you won't... I have noticed the small bistro on Osborne for many years though never found the opportunity to dine there. For a birthday dinner I was searching for French cuisine and narrowed my search to Sophie's and another well know eatery. Yelp reviews for both where about equal, the deciding factor for me was the preference a smaller quiet room, that... More

True French restaurant with a French attitude that can drive you crazy. For instance: the walls are covered with art works that range from crap to .interesting with no particular object in mind; the cheese plate comes with little hunks of whatever you ordered in a presentation your four year old would assemble; the house specialty features a slow cooked... Went again to Sophie's again for our anniversary and Serge continues to please. We had the standards, escargot, pate, beef bourg. and scallops. Very good and very french. My wife and I are taking french lessons and Thomas was very helpfull with our questions and how to order in French. When we are on that side of town we will... More

The food was ordinary at best. The prices quite high. Overall , not a great experience. There are much better "french" restaurants in Phoenix

Tried this restaurant for a late anniversary dinner. The food was delicious. Be sure to try the cheese plate, the d'affinois double-cream cheese was the best thing about the whole meal. Ambience and decor were good, although the setting sun kept shining right onto my face. The wait staff kindly moved us over and taped a square of cloth over... More
