Superb ambience

Warm, cozy, smart, irreverent. The Pasta Heidi with chipotle cream sauce was excellent. Almost as good as the background music, about the best I have heard in many years (progressive but sophisticated. Relaxed, no attitude service too. Caesar salad and red wines were only OK. But otherwise this is... read more

Everyone else is correct - great restaurant, hidden little gem, all the clichés. It had been a few years since I had been back and was quite pleased it is still just as impressive. Super tight quarters in there, so be prepared / go at "off" times. I love sitting at the bar that is right in front of the... More

After looking on Tripadvisor, I looked at Dick's online to see if it would fit my golf group of 8. It didn't look like it had any reservations, and with a group as large as ours, we wanted to sit together. I then found the part of the website that talked about a private room, which sounded like it would... More

This place rocks... One of the best all around dining spots in the PHX area. Nice and cozy in those cold winter PHX months with great drinks and food. All is good here, do not hesitate to get out of your comfort zone and eat.

I haven't eaten here in about 20 years, and was excited to go when a friend wanted to dine there for her birthday. Be prepared: No reservations, very tiny and includes a big communal table. On a Wednesday night we didn't have to wait because there was room at the communal table, but certainly waiting is a possibility. It is... More

After reading the reviews on Trip Advisor, we ventured out from Tempe to see how good the food really was. If you want great food with equally great service in a great atmosphere, this is the place to go to. My wife is from New Mexico and the food here is as close as you're going to get without traveling... More

Food and service was excellent. Place was hard to find no real sign out front. Very poorly lit. Wine room was quiet and provided an excellent atmosphere. I would definitely eat here again.

My youngest son always finds the most unique places to eat when we travel with him. Dick's Hideaway lived up to our expectations. Hard to find, went by it 3 times before finding it-glad we didn't give up. Trust your GPS. There is no sign for the restaurant-located between a coffee shop and a hardware store. Small place-community sitting. The... More

Hard to find, NO OBVIOUS SIGNS, except on door, trust your AP and park quickly and look around...it is worth it!! GREAT spicy bloody Mary's.......Red & Green are spicy...You will not be disappointed in the heat.....The style of food is a little different than traditional New Mexican food but worth exploring, for sure!! Food has great flavors, served on hot... More

This is indeed a hideaway; we almost missed it, tucked into a small strip of shops, but we followed the sound of people having a good time and the smell of delicious food, to get a great meal. We were looking for a late breakfast; Dick's serves brunch until 4. Heeding the warning on the menu, "Dick's Hideaway Chile Policy:... More
