Taste of India was the first Indian food restaurant I've been to. We tried out three different appetizers (one was supposed to be cheese, but turned out to be tofu) and had three main meals. The chicken was just lousy. It had an odd texture and tasted like old grease. The main waitress was nice, but towards the end of... More

Big fan of this place and will definitely visit whenever I am in town. The menu is extensive and also caters to vegetarian and vegan customers. I had the butter chicken and several appetizers. The garlic naan was very strong but awesome. You must eat here if in the area.

I am far from being an expert on Indian food, but I LOVE Taste of India. I have never been dissapointed by a menu item, but over the years, have grown so fond of one combination that I no longer ever vary from it. For me, it is Chicken Kashmiri and Kabli Naan. My friends prefer Chicken Korma and Garlic... More

We have eaten take out from this restaurant twice and were delighted with our food each time. The delivery was prompt and the food fresh. We recommend the fragrant Tikka Masala, spicy Vindaloo, or biryani. The vegetable samosa are good as well.

We come to Phoenix once a year and we ALWAYS eat here at least twice. The food is delicious and authentic and the service is very friendly. No idea how anyone could leave bad reviews because the food is delectable...especially the chicken tikka masala, molai kofta and peas with paneer. The mint chutney is unusual but I love it. Very... We'd tried this restaurant once before about 3 years ago and were unimpressed with the food. Recently, when organizing a dinner for our extended family, we decided to try it again as it's so close to home. Never again! Once we got them, we all enjoyed our meals. However, the anxiety created by the poor service was not worth it.... More

I've been going to Taste of India since my late father-in-law introduced me to family style dining over a decade ago. These days my wife and I usually go for the lunch buffet. We can always count on some old favorites and often something we haven't tried before. Some dishes are thankfully mild, but one or two are enough to... More

We are NOT Indian food experts. We ordered the "Tastes of India" entrees to get an idea/feel for the food. The taste was okay...but we've had other Indian food a few times and just remember better tasting food. The hostess....well, she seemed a little "put off" by our presence. We were THE ONLY two in the entire restaurant the entire... More

The pickles for the pappad came right from the freezer with a crust of ICE on it. Samosas totally bland. Asked for Rotis and got Naan (and the server insist that its roti) Oh by the way when you go for the Thali and ask them to replace the Naan with the Roti you get charged extra for the Roti.... More
