Honey Bears BBQ is too strong smoky in flavor for me. There sauce is too thin and lacks real Southern style flavor. A number of other BBQ restaurants have moved into the Valley the last couple of years that serve traditional Southwest and Southern with great slow smoked flavor and tasty sauces.

The BBQ was average. Nothing special. They ran out of macaroni and cheese and some of the sodas were out of order. But things like that happen any where you go so cant really complain about that. I took left overs home and honestly the BBQ tasted better cold than hot out the kitchen. Lol

Not far from home but not worth the drive everything was just okay even the soda I would much rather go to Hap's Barbeque even though it's twice the distance.

All the food tasted wonderful and the man at the cashier was so friendly that he even came by and asked if I wanted extra bread because my sandwich was so soggy. Loved this place

Yuk. I've heard about this place for years and finally ventured 'downtown' to try it out using a Groupon. It was horrible. The meat was dry and tasteless, the buns on the sandwhiches were stale, table was filthy. I am shivering in disqust as I write this.

Heard this place is half way decent so had to try. Will say pretty good shared a BBQ pork sandwich with hubby, side of Mac & cheese, and their cowboy beans. Only tired one BBQ sauce didn't know if there was more to choose from (that's all hubby brought to table) but that would b my suggestion to have more... More

We flew into Phoenix for our vacation in Sedona and of course airline food does nothing for me so we asked about BBQ we are from Georgia and wanted to see what "good" bbq in AZ meant. We were told that Honey Bears was the best so after getting our rental car off we went. ( side note if you... More

We had checked out the reviews and decided to walk across the street from our hotel to try this for our last lunch in Phoenix. We gave it a fair shot -- ribs, pulled pork sandwich, sweet potato fries, and the macaroni and cheese. We didn't finish anything. We've both eaten quite a bit of barbecue of various types. This... I went here with a large group, as we were told the food was excellent. Most of us didn't finish our food, and all agreed it was certainly not what it had been made out to be. The ribs were tough, and the sides were very standard. The peach cobbler tasted like it came from a can. It also for... More
