We went to Armadillo Grill specifically for their fried dill pickle spears that we remember having there a few years ago. They were good, but not as good as we remember. The pickle skin was very tough and hard to cut. The Philly Cheeesteak was excellent.

Heard this place was incredible, so met a friend for dinner. The restaurant smelled greasy and was dark/dismal. Service was patchy (meaning refilling a soda, checking back after dropping food at table--not too demanding). Large menu but food was average...and not much atmosphere.

Found this place on a business trip when we decided to drive down Camelback and look for a good rated pub on Yelp. Boy did we luck out! We never would have stopped here, just based on what we saw from the street. The menu was intriguing, beer was very reasonable, and we even stayed for trivia.

In search of a unique place to eat north of Sky Harbor just off Hwy 51 las Saturday we spotted the Armadillo Grill. Upon entry we were warmly greeted into this busy local unique bar and grill, quickly seated and provided excellent service. The lunch prices and Specials were amazing. Yes! We had the Chicken-Brie sandwich and the Blackened Fish... More

We don't get there often but are never disappointed when we do . Good home cooking with side options and HUGE appetizers. Good wine selection nd a few good beers too make the Armadillo a neat low key experience.

Fried pickles, Seared Ahi Tuna (Ahi tuna seared rare, served on a bed of Soba noodles & greens with cucumbers & tomatoes, tossed in soy balsamic vinaigrette & drizzled with sweet soy) and a cold IPA. The place was seemed pretty grimy, but the food and service were GREAT! (And I'll get that salad again!)

For the price you will pay here, I suggest The Parlor next door. Me, my husband, and my father came here for dinner during the week. The waitress had no customer service, maybe she was new, not sure... Food was OK, if the prices would have been a few dollars cheaper for the quality of portions given i might of... More
