Don't knock it 'til you try it

Amazing combination of flavors. You order at the counter and jockey for a table in the dining room. This is a shorts and sandals stop. Family friendly. No posturing here just good eats. The decor is purposefully a mishmash of chairs and tables, not for the persnickety or OCD bunch.

First time at Chino Bandito. Arrived at 5:30 on a Thursday evening and only 12 diners. Hmm. I ordered Pollo Diablo, Jen Red Pork, Black Beans and Jerk Fried Rice. All items were presented in bite-sized portions. They were fresh but lacked a lot of pizazz that I'd been hearing about. The pollo Diablo was supposed to be the hottest... More

Great mix of Mexican and Chinese and Caribbean. We wanted to try everything. We loved the smooth blended black beans and refried pinto beans. The chicken fried Chile relleno was also great. But I loved the Emerald Chicken the Best. We even got soft snickerdoodle cookies with our meal, all super fast and at a great price. Totally worth the... More

I've been going to this place since I saw they were on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives on the food network. I love the different types of mix matching of food you can get here. It's not for everyone but if you are looking for a mixture of Jamaican, Mexican and Asian, this place will satisfy all of those flavors.

A Chinese-Mexican hole in the wall? Nahh... but yes. This very, very casual little restaurant has achieved national notice from numerous chefs who bumble through the door--and for good reason. The food is excellent, and quite inexpensive. You can get a monster Rice bowl (14 varieties) for $6.30. You can switch cuisine and order quesadillas, burritos, rice and beans as... More

We had heard of this place a few times and finally went and we fell in love immediately! The food has a different flavor and mix that you can't find anywhere... Plus you get a delicious cookie! What is not to love about this place. No frills, good for take out... Prices are very reasonable! Our kids love it!

I grew up in Phoenix eating Chino's all the time. Still, everytime I go back, this is the only restaurant I absolutely HAVE to have. Chinese-Mexican food sounds crazy, but the way they fuse flavors together is incredible. Plus their cookies are fantastic. If you can get a volcano cookie on the weekend, they're made with real Belgian chocolate. If... More

Been eating here for nearly two decades. Jade red chicken, pork fried rice, and refried beans...thats my favorite! Snickerdoodles are amazing, pillowey and delicious! Staff is always efficient and friendly. Very casual.
