The best albacore I have eaten

Have been eating lunch, buying wine, cheese to take home for 30+ years at what we affectionately call "The Duck". Their food, wine, and service has always been stellar. Thank you all for providing a wonderful soup, salad, sandwich experience. I love earing on the patio on the weekends and... read more

We discovered Duck & Decanter, when we first moved to Phoenix, and were shopping at Copenhagen for furniture. It is tucked away, in the rear of a shopping center, off of 20th St, and Camelback Rd., but is easier to see, from AZ-51. It is worth driving around the parking lot, and is basically an undiscovered gem in the city.... More

When a wine making friend suggested lunch at the Duck and Decanter because they carried his wine, how could I refuse. Now it would have been a bit disconcerting had my friend not been to explain the process. But think of it as a deli lunch counter with a wine bar. If you tell them you will be at the... More

Friend brought us here while were visiting. Told the person at the counter what I liked and she recommended the Smokey with ham. One of the best sandwiches I have ever had! The cheese was perfectly melted and seemed to cover ever piece of the ham. The outdoor dining area was perfect that day. Combination of shade and sun was... More

One of my faves for years. Great sandwiches and I always get the tea of the day. Can phone ahead for pick up.

This place has more of a market feel with a lunch board where they serve up some unique sandwiches you won't find at a normal deli or sandwich shop. The market area has a good mix of items from all over the globe which makes it interesting to check out while you are waiting for your food. The bar area... More

My favorite sandwich is the vegetarian called Where's the Beef? It is fresh and crunchy and delicious.

Very interesting place, with a variety of nooks and crannies indoor and outdoor for enjoying the excellent lunches. You can create your own sandwich or select salad or sandwich from the list. I tried the Bleu Turkey, which was very good, and my wife chose the curried chicken based on the guy in front of us who was telling his... More

I have never had such a great sandwich. The Genoa had so much flavor that melded into deliciousness. Interesting littler shop, too. Lots of teas, kitchen gadgets and giftie stuff. Fun to just look around!

I have had the pleasure of visiting the Duck several times and it seems to get better every time! I come for great sandwiches and Sam is the best behind the counter. She makes a sandwich heavenly! Making my way to the back, Bob serves up one of the best pints of Smithwicks beer around and the wine selection is... More
