Great Local Pizza Joint

I was looking for a non chain, local place within walking distance of my hotel and stumbled on Pino's Pizza. It worked out perfectly! The staff was very friendly and told me to sit anywhere. The diners appeared to be mostly locals, a few "scrubs" from a hospital across the street-a good sign. I... read more

After trying to go to a local Mexican place where the wait was more than an hour, our Hilton shuttle driver recommended this place, within walking distance from the Hilton. I was with 4 colleagues and we were initially nervous because it doesn't look like much from the outside. However, the food was terrific. I had the spaghetti capri, and... More

Tough to park, but worth it. I've rarely ever seen portions so large at a pizza-type restaurant. Calzones were monstrous as were the salads and pasta dishes. Most everybody in our party had to get a take-home box. Good service considering our party was around 20, the guy kept up on everything and even asked personally about the meals whether... More

Pino, the owner, is true blue Italian who visits Italy often to update his Italian culinary acumen. Pino's is a casual Italian place in Central Phoenix. In my opinion, he makes the best pizza in all of Phoenix. And it's made with love. The menu offers all kinds of Italian pasta dishes, including seafood dishes. I've taken numerous friends there... Pino's is our go to restaurant. The service is always wonderful; one can tell the employees are happy to be there. Many are long time employees and they recognize repeat customers. The food is always excellent. There are several pizzas and pastas to choose from. It's mostly a pizza place but there are a few pasta and hot sandwich dishes.... More

I have had pizza all over the world (including all of Italy, Chicago, and New York) and Pino's is the best. Why? Because of his crust - - Pino's Pride - - which is part science and part "art." He spends hours preparing his dough. One taste and you will know what I mean. The rest of his food is... More

Lived in NYC for a couple of years, and when I came to Phx I needed a good slice. I finally found it at Pino's. It is the best in town. Pizzas are great, and the pasta, sandwiches and salads are great too. Pino's Pizza Al Centro is the real thing.

This little ol' family pizza parlor is one of a kind. The best part is meeting the owner "Pino". He doesn't care about anything but cooking. There is nothing that Pino sends out that isn't great. He spends hours and hours just making sure his pizza dough and breads are simply perfect. Everyone knows this place in Phoenix and if... More

Yeah, the one you must have over and over again? Well, I've found it here!! The service was outstanding, I don't know how he did it but our delightful server also worked 5 other tables, then bussed tables, waited on us hand and foot, was wonderful to my 18 month old grandson, and the food was even better than the...
