My boyfriend and I love this place! We always go for happy hour or reverse happy hour so we can get the best deals. All we have ever gotten here is sushi. We adore theirs so much (for both the deliciousness and the value) we haven't even checked out the rest of the menu! The fried California rolls are always... More

Not overly fancy however, the sushi is good and if you go during lunch and happy hours, the prices are half of regular prices. Good place to have lunch. Be careful and watchful of hours as they open later on weekends.

Finally some real crab in the rolls. Loved the chef, he was attentive and full of suggestions. The Rainbow roll was pretty darn large, eight large pieces at maybe $8.25, a tasty dinner sushi special with 7 pieces and miso soup only $12. But the quality was very good. Our new sushi place. It's in a strip mall but no... More

Very fresh and flavorful. Not a fancy joint and we loved it! From appetizer to rolls to dessert everything was good.

Small little local place. No one it's here to be glamorous, just eat good sushi. Service was prompt, friendly and genuine. Will be coming back.

I have been visiting Mr. Sushi for years. Good for decent sushi at moderate prices. The most impressive thing about this restaurant is the wide variety of rolls they offer. Must be at least 50 combinations to choose from. My only disappointment is they changed the wonderful Ginger dressing they used to have on their house salad. It was tangy... More

Mr Sushi has changed it's name to Akai Hana, and it is fantastic. We came in just as they were ready to close after lunch, and still they graciously welcomed us, which made their break before dinner short for them. I had the sashimi lunch, one companion had the Mrs Sushi lunch box, another had the bento lunch box, and... More

This is not the best sushi in town but it is darn good. I have been going there since 1993 and always enjoy my sushi. They have altered the recipes a bit over time but nothing too major. The spicy tuna hand roll is the signature dish as far as I am concerned. They pack it full and you get... More

Casual. Great sushi. The 3 rolls ordered were much larger than most rolls. Great value. Unexpected. Some of the appetizers were different. Very good overall.

When I moved to Phoenix about seven years ago I stayed in a long term hotel close to the restaurant for six months and visited many times. We like sushi and have enjoyed it in many states. We purchased a home in the west valley and continued to go to the restaurant even with a 30 min. drive. A couple... More
