There is a certain sameness to most Mexican restaurants and this was no different. The menu had a similarity to it. Our food was nothing to scream about but certainly a cut above average. Our server, Jan, was over the top with service, friendliness, and satisfying with wife's quirky requests. Would we go there again? Yes.

My boyfriend and I did a little research to find a great Mexican restaurant near us, and we stumbled upon this place. It had great reviews, so we decided to give it a go. The restaurant is actually pretty cute and quaint inside. There's nothing about it that screams "fine dining" but it's a pleasant little place to eat if... More

This is not a fancy restaurant but the food was delicious and the price cannot be best. I would highly recommend this restaurant!!!!!!

My daughter had the refried beans here when she was 6 mos. old. Although in many ways I am a fresh food addict and farm to table person, this is a restaurant that caters to my childhood tastes of Arizona and I can not skip it when I am in town. Yes, lots of cheese, probably lard in those luscious... More

I'm sure the food is good for meat eaters. We're two vegetarians and showed up to this place cos it had great reviews on trip advisor. There are no waiters, you have to go to the counter and order. There seemed to be vegetarian stuff on the menu but then they told me everything was cooked in lard. At least... More

Using tripadvisor as a reference, my co-works and I stopped in for dinner on our way through town. After 14 hours in the car, and rave reviews online, we had high expectations. The meal was average at best. No where near the best mexican food or salsa I have ever had. The value was very good but everything else about... More

Been eating at this restaurant my whole life, so of course it is the favorite of some of my children, too. So when my daughter and I had an excuse to be in Phoenix last week we made sure to have some of our favorites--and took others to go for later. Itʻs a family owned operation with salsa that makes... Ok folks. I love a dive just like the next person, but how can this be rated so highly? I know my Mexican food very well, and this was very, very mediocre at best. No service. Styrofoam plates. No green chili verde. Salsa only in a squirt bottle and the (true test) guacamole was not great quality. I'll keep searching... More
