Grreat North High School memories... uh, from the 50s. It's still a thrill in sawdust with pistol packin babe waitresses...

As a New Yorker, when I saw the name, Naturally, I thought the menu would include a bagel and lox and pastrami on rye with an egg cream along with some southwest fare. So I was surprised to find it is really a western-style steak house. My husband and I are not big beef eaters but the small 7 oz.... More

It's not just a place to eat, it's an experience. My daughter and I went there for breakfast(later went back for lunch and dinner). I didn't need to order coffee to wake me up.The energy from our waitress(Cookie)was all I needed. Her smile and friendly voice, sent a positive energy through me. She not only took our order but gave me a... More

This definitely qualifies as one of the top 3 WORST restaurants I have had the displeasure of dining in. Now, as a country bar this place wouldn't be bad at all. But to actually bill this place as a restaurant, open early in the the day and serve food to unsuspecting people who aren't drunk, is a travesty. The "special"... More

For you musicians reading this, you will be in for a treat. At this location you will find a bar and it is much like an old west type of a bar. If you are going to be here on a Monday night from 7PM to 10PM you might want to bring your guitar or banjo or mandolin or whatever... More

This is a comfy place, but they need to declutter, bring it out of the 50's, & provide some main & side dish healthy alternatives. Ribs were tasty, so was my bbq beef sandwich - no expected cole slaw with it. Don't like sides in chintzy tinfoil tubs. We've been coming here for years, much less often as we became... More

I went back to Bill Johnson's for the first time since I lived in AZ. It was good but not as good as I remembered. Good value and good food.

Nothing is better then their BBQ ribs and baked potatoes. then if you can do not have room for dessert you plan another visit and just have hot apple pie and ice cream.

My first time in Phoenix and I'd heard lots of great things about this restaurant. I was told the beef ribs were the best. Wonderful atmosphere with lots of western decorations and two singers in the bar area. Had the beef ribs - good but not fabulous. For one side I had the corn bake which I found to be... More

We spend a quiet morning at this Bill Johnson's restaurant. I had a chicken and waffle. The waffle was huge and the chicken was really good. The service was ok.The location is perfect for travelers.
