Best authentic Italian food

I felt like I was eating in Little Italy in NYC. All dishes were fabulous. Everything tasted as if it were prepared in Italy. We enjoyed the Chicken Limone and the Chicken Parmesan, as well as the Tortellini Alla Papalina (a stuffed pasta w/ prosciutto, mushrooms, peas and parmesan in a cream... read more

We have dined here many times, take guests with us from Europe as well and they loved it too! They were busy last Sat. night, but since we were late, they found a table for us. The men serving are always so informed, concise, professional! I ordered my fave Halibut...DELICIOUS! I always request WITHOUT the Feta...I like the light natural... More

We never make duck at home for many reasons. Therefore, when on a menu, I usually order it, and did so here. It was out of this world; probably the best duck dinner I've ever had. The Osso Bucho was also very good, and the Ciopino, while served on pasta and therefore somewhat dry, was excellent. Although the food was... More

We ate here 2 nights in a row while staying nearby. The waiters are wonderful and the entrees come with soup and salad so great value for your money. The food was delicious! Highly recommend it!

A very nice classic Italian restaurant serving reasonably priced food. The menu had numerous choices and there were a number of interesting specials. This place certainly compared to the fine East Coast Italian restaurants we are accustomed too! The service was really good from a very friendly and attentive staff.

People who have never been to Northern Italy believe that pizza and pasta are Italian food. Pizza is a snack food there & pasta is usually a side dish. They eat meat, seafood, & veggies, This delightful restaurant doesn't even serve pizza. They have things like escargot, scallops, lamb, and duck. I had the latter, in a peppercorn sauce, and... It was busy on a Monday night; always a good sign. Welcoming, attentive service, very pleasant food, had a glass of excellent cabernet each; what's not to like? I'm absolutely sure you could pay a lot more in a fancier part of town and eat a lot more poorly.

If you think you have to settle for a fast food lunch and you love great Italian cooking, believe good home fresh cooked meals are too hard to find, take too much time to serve and will probably cost too much in a small local restaurant -- then be prepared to be surprised and visit this personable neighborhood restaurant. I... More

Christo's is an Old-World Italian eatery with a formal dining room and small bar. The ambience is welcoming and the waiters are friendly experienced professionals very knowledgeable about food and wine. They have a nice selection of pastas, fresh fish, poultry and meats, veal, duck and lamb. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. Christo's is open Monday through Friday... More
