Typically, we do not go out for Italian food because I am Italian and can make most dishes better at home. But, we joined some friends here for dinner and they chose the restaurant. The decor is very nice and doesn't seem like a strip mall once inside. Service was attentive at first (almost too attentive because they kept interrupting... More

There's something alluring about hard-to-find eateries with hidden backdoor entrances. Christo's is such a place. Italian cuisine aficionados in Phoenix have been finding and returning to this place for almost three decades. It's upscale and affordable.

We both had veal - and agreed that it was the most tender we have enjoyed in years. Delicious. And the veggies accompanying were cooked perfectly. Kudos to the Chef! Our only disappointment was the service - but it was a busy Friday night and they appeared short staffed. So I would not judge without a repeat visit.

We tried Christo's with friends during AZ Restaurant Week. All 4 of us agreed what an incredible find!! Christo's is clearly a family run old style Italian restaurant with outstanding food and reasonable prices - on everything, including wine. We started with salads, antipasti and bruschetta - all wonderful. Then moved onto to the entree. I should note that most... More

We have tried Christo's three times now. The most recent visit was for AZ Restaurant Week. We had a delicious 3 course meal including a glass of wine for a great price. My husband had the Veal Braciole with rigatoni which he loved. I had the Dover Sole Meuniere with sauteed zucchini and it was delicious. We both had the... More

Intimate dining, extraordinary foods, reasonably priced; a great place for a celebration meal or a friendly meeting. A classic on the Phoenix eatery scene.

I would have given one more star if the bread had been a bit better...L'Amore has set that standard for us. We had a very experienced server who wasted no time or motions in explaining the specials and catering to our special tweaks...simply nodded his head and said he would take care of everything...and he did. We started with a... More

We had a great dining experience starting with sausage and peppers along with the calamari, all was delicious. The veal parm and Dover sole were great.
