The Quintessential "Gaslamp" Steakhouse !

Durrant's steakhouse located in downtown Phoenix Arizona, is as much of a landmark in Arizona as the Grand Canyon. classy and pricey, it serves the finest cuts of beef available, lamb, fish, lobster, and even chicken. It has a terrific cocktail lounge as well as a very nice dining area. While you... read more

Four of us met for lunch at Durant's today. Service was spotty. The food was, at best, mediocre, although the prices were inflated and, to my estimation, exorbitant, especially in light of the poor quality of the food. I had eaten dinner at Durant's perhaps 25 years ago and on that occasion, I found the food, the service and the... More

Simple-my rib eye was incredible. A great mouth watering steak. Old school steakhouse atmosphere. Staff wearing jackets and bowties, leather booths, etc. Bartenders make honest drinks. Absolute great stop for a steak after a day of spring training baseball. Very walkable 2 blocks from our stay at the Hilton Suites. The prices are $$$ but if your steak is anything... More

Our food was just wonderful. We had tenderloin, T-bone & New York strip. We were seated immediately and the buss service was wonderful. Our waiter was courteous and attentive, could have used more personality. I was a little disappointed in the cost of the steaks, tenderloin-$32.00, T-bone-$44.00. Cramped seating and noisy.

Atmospheric steak house dating from the 50's Decor and seating take you back to a NYC steak house from the mid-century - that's no bad thing. Service was very good, if a little off-hand but that sort of goes with the territory. The steaks were excellent, the wine list extensive and the deserts rounded things off a treat. Put it... More

Fun to go back in time a little bit to a steakhouse that has the look and feel of the 1960's and 1970's. The entrees are great as well as the sides and apps. The sides are included in the entrée price along with soup or salad the way they once were. You walk into the restaurant through the kitchen... More

Be sure to get a reservation prior to going as they rarely (yuck yuck) have space for Walk in's. There service is excellent

This is a classic steakhouse with great food, a varied menu and lots of history. Come in the back way and walk through the kitchen where you are greeted by the chefs! It is great, but pricey. They still offer salad, bread and choice of sides that are included in the meal; almost unheard of today. The warm, crusty bread... More

A step back in time, old school atmosphere, very good food and service. They do pack the people in and it is close to being considered overpriced but worth it for the experience. Of particular note was the superlative twice baked potato and an excellent and giant strawberry shortcake

Durant's is an old school steakhouse that has been around for decades. We entered from the back which was weird because you walk straight through the kitchen. The place i snot too large and they have table packed in tightly. It's a pricey place, so expect to pay upper $30's and beyond. I had the 18 oz ribeye which was... More
