Incredible

Very nice. Great service. Mr fish and gnocchi were awesome. Bottle of prisoner completed the meal. Quiet, great wine selection.

We had a delicious dinner at Tarbell's on a Saturday evening. The food was great, but the service was a bit slow. It appeared that our waiter was overloaded with tables she had to take care of, so it was a little annoying waiting for our food. When it did come however, it was really good! We had the Peppered... Tarbell's is one of a handful of Phoenix area restaurants that wouldn't be out of place in NYC. It isn't Le Bernardin or Per Se, but it would slot in nicely with Gramercy Tavern, Cafe Boulud, or Tribeca Grill. Excellent service in a relaxed atmosphere complement the very good food and interesting wine list. Like most popular places these days,... More

As a long time customer of Tarbell's, there is one thing I can tell you. The food is great ! Mark and his staff do an excellent job of delivering consistently great food. With that said, the business has been there for 20 years, and the interior of the place needs a rework. The bar (in some areas), and the... More

Don't miss this if you are traveling to Phoenix. Excellent wine selection and the food is first rate. My husband had the salmon and I had a braised beef. Both were excellent.

I took two customers here for an early dinner, and at 7pm the restaurant was nearly full of early diners. I wasn’t impressed having read so many good reviews. The “crispy rock shrimp” had very little crisp to them and my strip steak was tough. My guests both had fish which was well cooked. I did find it odd that... More

Quaint location and not very loud. Amazing menu makes it difficult to make a choice. Good wait staff, very attentive, maybe a bit to attentive. Need time to relax and visit with friends as part of the experience. Extensive wine list and the desserts are to die for!

This restaurant was strongly recommended to us and it did not disappoint. Interesting eclectic menu but does not try too hard (the one too many ingredients problem). All of our food was spot on and yes, the chickpeas are a treat. Outstanding wine list--leans higher end, but some great choices at more reasonable prices. Big surprise was the bill was... More

We visited Phoenix this year for our anniversary and our trip happened to include my wife's birthday. I booked our Tarbell's reservation online at opentable.com the week before we left. The process was simple and enabled me to include the request that we'd be celebrating my wife's birthday. We were seated promptly for our 6:30pm reservation, and although we were... More

Local favorite for 20 years, great and original food matched with personal service. The chef varies the menu with the seasons and continual mixes up the wine list so always something new, but the old favorites are always there.
