Good Mexican, laid back atmosphere

I was told that this place was a "dive", which is exactly what we were looking for on this particular night. It ended up being nicer than we expected, and the food was good, solid Mexican. Nice bar area with a few tv's while we waited for our table, which only took 10 minutes or so. Very good... read more

9 of us met for a lunch. They opened up a back room and we had it all to ourselves. We had wonderful service with lots of attention and quick responses. However, I would rate the food as average. None of us had any humming food (food that tastes so good you want to hum).

This place has been around for along time and the reviews are up and down. It has nice outside dining with a funky somewhat retro atmosphere with red vinly booths. Our experience was average at best with one of the least enjoyable margaritas in recent memory. Good red meat chili, eggs done just fine, service very fast and efficient. These... More

I visit the Tee Pee Tap Room every time I am in Phoenix. Great lunch , strongly recommend "A Red" for lunch. Great " Hole in the wall" atmosphere, excellent service and food. I always look forward to the chips and salsa appetizers. I can't put my finger on it but the salsa is absolutely the finest I have ever... More

It used to be a great Mexican dining experience years ago with the locals. They've lost their touch. Food is extremely bland for true Mexican dining. For some reason, it's always crowed even thought the quality of the food and service is below average. A once great local Mexican dining spot is gone. What a shame.

Guadalajara's was closed so we went here. It seemed dark, dirty and empty. The food was not very good. The prices were averages. The guacamole seemed like it was premade. The tacos were over cooked. I won't return

If you like dives, this place is for you. It is cheap and watered down booze. Not a classy place, but all they are is an old dive bar near the ballpark. Nothing really worth listing here, not even sure why it is on this site unless to warn folks away.

I came here for a business lunch with some co-workers. The atmosphere is very casual, the service is fast and friendly (they knew one of my co-workers by name) and the food is excellent.

Been around since the 70's, and consistently good for Mexican food. Definitely a local place, frequented by retired VIP's and celebrities from Scottsdale area. Cheese enchiladas are my favorite this trip! Very inexpensive, great bar. Dark interior, old wooden beams strung with white lights, upholstered booths from another era - but you are going for the food.

I visited Tee Pee for the first time a couple weeks ago. My boyfriend has a tradition of always stopping in for a meal when he's in Phoenix and never passes up the avocado cheese crisp. I had a taco plate. I must say this place is really delicious. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the waitress kept the chips, salsa,... More
