The Compass Room is a must do for bruch. Food was fantastic, the views are spectacular. I took my nieces and sister in law for brunch and to introduce them to downtown Phoenix, This place was perfect.

If it had been half the price, maybe. But I don't feel it was worth the money at all. In addition to the rather shabby decor and dingy fixtures, many of the plaques that make up the compass points were missing. While not a deal breaker, one would assume that at their prices they could keep up the appearance a... More

We tried the Compass based on recommendation of a friend. The food was good and portions were enough for two. Wait staff was attentive and pleasant. If you book a 5:30 reservation at Compass, THE "24" ELEVATOR BUTTON DOES NOT WORK UNTIL 5:30 pm EXACTLY!!! I don't understand why they don't tell you this when calling to make a reservation... More

Had a business dinner. The wine was average. The salad was nothing outstanding. Surprising the Ratatouille was not a soupy variety but a solid one and not bad though the portion was small. The dessert was average. For the prices charged for the food it was a rip off. As to the views, it is a revolving restaurant but come... More

After living in Phoenix for over 20 years, my girlfriend and I finally went to the Compass Room for the first time last summer. I had long known about the rotating restaurant atop the Hyatt Hotel in downtown Phoenix (you can see it for miles), but had always assumed it would be something of an over-priced tourist trap focused mainly... The moment we got off the elevator we were thrilled with our choice. The food was delicious. The portions were perfect. I am a fan of Salmon and it was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of seasoning. I was not a fan of the vegetable that was with the entree, Patti our hostess spoke to the chef and... More

Went there for a business dinner. The restaurant is on a spinning top that rotates for a view of Phoenix from the Hyatt hotel. The iceberg salad was excellent. The wine. Service was decent. A decent wine variety on the list. The main courses were cold or overcooked. I order my steak medium rare and it was well done. Someone... More

Made 5:30 reservations on a Monday night. It took one hour for our food to arrive. My filet, which was supposed to be "medium rare", was overcooked and tough. My wife's eggplant wasn't cooked and hard. Even after taking hers back, most of her eggplant was not cooked. The manager came over & apologized. She also comped the food- which... More

Wow, the full moon was rising over the Phoenix skyline as I enjoyed a wonderful filet and great bottle of wine. The entire restaurant revolves so the view changes constantly. The service was great as was the food. My only disappointment (slight, very slight disappointment) was that there wasn't a bar where I could dine by myself. I just don't... More

Save your money eat else where for dinner a $42.00 rib eye steak is awful tuff, the potatoes are dry, and the slightly warm greens are ok. The mixed drink was watered down. The view is nice but if the sun is still up bring sun glasses.
