Indisputably the best English food, especially the fish in chips, in the state if not the southwest. The owners are from the UK where they used to have a place and came here for the sun. 16th st. And bell rd is not a convenient location, but worth the drive. I can't say enough about these folks

My partner is from Scotland and was transported home through the authentic fare at the Codfather. We had sausage rolls for appetizer, fish and chips (cod and haddock) for our entree and a banana fritter to share for dessert. She also purchased some crisps, an Irn Bru and some sweets. Friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere made our meal here... More

If you are looking for the ambience of an English pub, you won’t find it here. If you are looking for authentic English pub food, you WILL find it at Codfather’s! (We’ve traveled to the UK many times and enjoyed traditional pub food a lot. I don’t consider myself an authority, but I do feel comfortable making the claim that... More

I've driven past this place several times and wondered about it, but one night recently, the boyfriend and I couldn't find a place to eat that wasn't deafening inside, and The Codfather popped into my head. So I asked him if he'd like fish and chips and/or to try a new place and off we went. We pulled up and... More

Must say that the food I tried this time was better than before. Staff need some education on the difference between: England, the British Isles, and the United Kingdom. WARNING: The illustrations of the food are very wrong. They show much more than you get. Question it and you get: "They're old illustrations." Very sad for a family run restaurant.

Let me start by saying I wanted so bad to LOVE this place! I tried SOOOO hard to LOVE this place because what they are trying to do is so good! The beer selection was fabulous. Unfortunately, the praises stop there. The staff is very friendly. We ordered the homemade mozzarella sticks and onion rings. Both were very undercooked. Salad... More

This is now one of my favorite places and I eat here often. Also sometimes get carryout when in a hurry. If you want good seafood in the desert, this is the place to go! Excellent fish and chips and excellent shrimp. The "bubble and squeak" is a MUST and totally unique. Moderately priced and the service is excellent.

If you've ever been across the pond in dear old blighty, then you know how important it is to find a good chippy that brings back memories of home. Not only does this place serve the BEST fish and chips with their secret batter recipe and fresh fish specials, they also have a plethora of ON TAP British beers including... More

The fried cod was delicious. Very fresh, crispy batter, not greasy. The fish comes in two sizes small and large. The small was one piece for $7.50 with chips ( fries). The Saturday all you can eat special was only $12. Would recommend as a better value. The tarter sauce was amazing and I'm usually not a big fan. The... More

This place is not really that great. The little shop in there with British imports was pretty cool but the food was bland.I mean I know it's British food which is known for being pretty plain but this was really flavorless. The portions are pretty generous though.I might just not be a fan of british food and so people who love british...
