I have to admit that I find myself at times during the week, craving the cone-shaped California roll this place offers. Sure to be a neighborhood gem. Definitely get this if you go there and love sushi. Family-owned, small, but quaint and service is very good. Found it through a coupon it offered in a local mailing and glad I... More

I was in the mood for sushi specifically one evening, so I looked for a place on trip advisor. I have to say that the food here was only ok. There is some decor, and there is a nice sushi bar where everything is made, but the venue is not that great, I'm afraid. Prices were pretty good. There were... More

Three of us ate at Hana last night and greatly enjoyed the food. We had the edamame , calamari cutlets (excellent!), salads and four sets of rolls. Then we topped it all off with a custom sampler of delicious ice cream! The edamame was good, but not outstanding (some beans were a bit woody). The lightly breaded, deep fried, then... More

The sushi is okay here. But it's not great. Freshness is marginal. I didn't get sick, but the fish was mealy in some cases and definitely not the silky, translucent stuff you get at better restaurants. If you need a sushi fix and you're not too choosy, then go right ahead. But if you want something really good, this is... More

My impression of Phoenix is that it is one giant mass of urban sprawl. Hana Sushi is a little Japanese restaurant tucked in one of the ubiquitous strip malls. We arrived around 7 pm on a Thursday and the place was almost empty; by the time we left, it was packed. People were coming and going for takeout orders, too.... More

A delightful restaurant with excellent service, superb food and great value. We read the reviews on TripAdvisor and thought we give it a try while we were traveling in the Phoenix area and like it so much we returned a second time. If you like Japanese cuisine you'll enjoy yourself.

This little shop was recommended to my father by a friend who served oversees in Asia. We figured he knew his sushi and tried it out. Boy were we amazed! The restaurant itself is pretty small, but that is usually a plus for me. The menu isn't too different from your normal sushi restaurant. So, what's so appealing? The fish.... More

If it isn't THE best, it is in the top 5 - and I've eaten sushi everywhere on this side of the world. High quality, personalized service, creative, Japanese Iron Chef-type creative cuisine, great service. They aren't afraid to charge for it, but to me that means they realize the quality. DO stop by your favorite liquor outlet for some... More

Small, family owned. Excellent friendly service. Fresh and tasty with very reasonable prices. This was our second visit and we look forward to many more.

A friend of mine told me about this place and how good and cheap the sushi was. I was skeptical to say the least. Cheap and good sushi rarely happen together. After seeing high reviews here on Tripadvisor I gave it a shot. I was very surprised at the selection and the quality. It seems to be a family run... More
