It is rare I give a bad review for good food, but the service was unacceptable

Ok, it was a moderately large group of 12 people, but the restaurant was almost empty! Let's start out with the good ... The food was great, and the choices of local microbrews good. Now the bad ... Every step took our single server for ever. At two points every drink glass on the table... read more

I went here for their Valentine's Day prix fixe offering with my significant other. Dinner included three courses, a glass of champagne and a complimentary red rose. It was a great deal and the food was delicious. Service was impeccable and the interior is refined and trendy. It's also conveniently located across the street from the Arizona Theater Company if... This restaurant is located in the Sheraton and is across the street from the Herberger Theater. I liked the roomy retro decor with all the whimsical Mexican style artwork. They run a special where all the lunches only cost $9.00 at twelve o'clock. I ordered a harvest chop salad. The greens were all fresh and the chicken seemed like it... More

I thought the food would be overpriced, but it was very reasonable. The service was excellent; the waitress and even the manager went out of their way to be accommodating (we didn't need anything special). The food was very good. I would eat there again.

Whether you are looking for fine dining or upscale bar food with a twist, look no further. I know, I know, it's a hotel restaurant so how good can it be? Good enough to get 5 stars and good enough to say that one of my dinners at District American is on my top 5 all time best dinners, and... More

I went last night with my daughter for I Daddy Daughter date night before the ballet. We arrived at 630 and had 50 min before we needed to exit and walk a couple blocks to the theatre. It was interesting from the beginning at District. First, the hostess was taking us to a cramped part of the restaurant when it... More

Yesterday, I had lunch at the District. At $9 a meal, it was a great deal and delicious. I had the salmon, broiled in maple syrup. It was tender and perfect. Others in my group had the Trio, a cup of soup, small salad and a half of sandwich. I have also had dinner here in the private dinning room.... More

A good happy hour menu of drinks and small plates from 5-7pm. Sit at the bar and experience the friendly and engaging bar tenders

District is in the Sheraton in downtown Phoenix, near the Conversation Center. We had an enjoyable meal here with excellent service, and 2 very nice Arizona wines. My vegetarian-inspired husband had no problem finding a delicious entree, and my duck was delicious. Again, the menu is not huge, but has great variety. Prices are reasonable, and they have a kitchen... More

I have walked by this place so many times headed towards the Arizona Center. I never stopped because it looked so upscale, I thought it would be really expensive. But I was wrong. Location: District is located on the northwest corner of 3rd Street and Van Buren in Phoenix. This is across the street from Arizona Center. By the way,... More
