Description: The Sierra Bonita Grill is named after the historic Sierra Bonita Ranch in...
The Sierra Bonita Grill is named after the historic Sierra Bonita Ranch in South Eastern Arizona. Founded by Henry Hooker in 1872, the Sierra Bonita Ranch was known for it’s hospitality and innovative ranching methods. We would like to celebrate the spirit represented by Mr. Hooker and other pioneer ranches throughout Arizona with our restaurant and hope to continue the tradition of great food and hospitality. Our menu reflects the hearty cooking style of Southern Arizona ranches, many of which were started by Spanish and Mexican families. We will continue to explore the ongoing Mexican and Latin influences on this area’s culture and food. Patio seating available to accommodate 30 people.

True Western Ambiance and Great Food

I moved away from my traditional fish tacos which are fabulous to have the turkey salad which was also fabulous! Nothing can go wrong here with fresh ingredients and creative combinations of turkey, roasted corn and tortilla strips! We sat at the outside patio which is just like sitting outside... read more

Found something in my food here. No one apologized and the manager actually told me that it wasn't a big deal. We had to fight to not pay for our food. Seems to me like this happens often here. I will not be returning and would never recommend this place to anyone

Went after a focus group hoping to have a top Tripadvisor experience. Happy hour menu is okay. Had the guacamole Wasn't that good. Creamy not chunky. No flavor and the chips were ok. The queso was good just not great. The stuffed peppers were by far my favorite. The drinks we had just didn't taste refreshing. Wrong portions of alcohol... More

I have always loved this place, have been going for years, and I go in regularly but last night and the few times before there has been an issue with the quality of food not the service. The Azteca soup has been so salty it's not edible. The person I was dining with felt the same way. I took a... More

I moved away from my traditional fish tacos which are fabulous to have the turkey salad which was also fabulous! Nothing can go wrong here with fresh ingredients and creative combinations of turkey, roasted corn and tortilla strips! We sat at the outside patio which is just like sitting outside with air conditioning! Wonderful and consistent food quality and service!

Our friends took us here once, and we've been going back ever since. My favorite is the green chili pork. They also have red chili. It is the tastiest pork chili around. They also offer American dishes, with a Southwest Flair. Today the lunch special was SBG Strogonoff. I was temped, but stuck with my usual chili, had 1/2 red... More

Our July visit to Sierra Bonita was disappointing. Food quality was average, service was average. We had trout and carne asada tacos. The gelato dessert was not authentic...more like ice cream. The server appeared inexperienced and distracted. For the money, not sure if we'll be back.

Sierra Bonita is one of my favorite Phoenix restaurants. The happy hour is fantastic. The menu is great. Love the green chili mashed potatoes. My only complaint is that they rarely have decent locals beers now. It is a great neighborhood restaurant worth trying.

Nothing to dislike about this place. Food is so good and prepared to your liking, very different, kind of ranch hand Mexican, not your typical Mexican restaurant food, just darn good food!

The bar here is comfortable and lively. They serve excellent margaritas and they have a good selection of whiskeys and wines-by-the-glass. The menu offers a variety of intriguing and tasty options. On my most recent visit, I ordered sea bass, which had a delicate flavor, and was served with fresh spinach, melon, berries and a light and tasty dressing. My... More

One of my local favorites, a very diverse menu of Southwest favorites such as enchiladas and tacos to a staple of comfort favorites like pork osso bucco and buttermilk chicken with just the right amount of smoke and chillies to designate it as a local flare fare. The Friday night smoked prime rib is an all time best, I'll take... More
