The Sierra Bonita Grill is named after the historic Sierra Bonita Ranch in South Eastern Arizona. Founded by Henry Hooker in 1872, the Sierra Bonita Ranch was known for it’s hospitality and innovative ranching methods. We would like to celebrate the spirit represented by Mr. Hooker and other pioneer ranches throughout Arizona with our restaurant and hope to continue the tradition of great food and hospitality. Our menu reflects the hearty cooking style of Southern Arizona ranches, many of which were started by Spanish and Mexican families. We will continue to explore the ongoing Mexican and Latin influences on this area’s culture and food. Patio seating available to accommodate 30 people.

Really different

Nothing to dislike about this place. Food is so good and prepared to your liking, very different, kind of ranch hand Mexican, not your typical Mexican restaurant food, just darn good food!

The bar here is comfortable and lively. They serve excellent margaritas and they have a good selection of whiskeys and wines-by-the-glass. The menu offers a variety of intriguing and tasty options. On my most recent visit, I ordered sea bass, which had a delicate flavor, and was served with fresh spinach, melon, berries and a light and tasty dressing. My... More

One of my local favorites, a very diverse menu of Southwest favorites such as enchiladas and tacos to a staple of comfort favorites like pork osso bucco and buttermilk chicken with just the right amount of smoke and chillies to designate it as a local flare fare. The Friday night smoked prime rib is an all time best, I'll take... More

A nice clean restaurant with a very good menu and ideal for lunch. I had the halibut Taco's which were superb and I would recommend them. The sauce served with was very zesty and had a slight kick - just about perfect for the fish. Service was good

We don't do chains, and like to try the local fare. The atmosphere, food, and service were great at Sierra Bonita Grill. We would be regulars if we lived in Phoenix.

We keep going back to Sierra Bonita Grill for its consistent great food, service and drinks. Ask for the Eye of the Rye cocktail straight up; an award winner for sure!

Great service and super great food. Tucked out of the way like I like it. Very little close by parking but well marked signs for where you can park. I would personally avoid the patio again during the day as it was a bit warm, but others might like that location. We are hot natured folks. Staff was all super... More

Been coming to this hidden little gem in North Central phoenix for years with friend, business associates and family. Its a win every time. Love the diverse menu especially the green Chile osso bucco, posole soup, bacon wrapped shrimp, margaritas and sangrias. Can't go wrong with anything. Don't forget their ridiculously scrumptious bread pudding (ask for extra whiskey sauce). Happy... More

Decided I needed Mexican food on my way to the airport and landed at Sierra Bonita and was more than pleased. Beautiful atmosphere and way above average food made for a very delightful meal before heading out of town. I will go back again on my next visit to Phoenix in the evening as it would be even more magical... More

We enjoyed a unique brunch for my birthday; my daughter had researched this restaurant and I am glad we gave it a try. Delicious southwest food, very enjoyable.
