We really enjoyed our dinner at El Mexicano. There is a nice variety of Mexican entrees and the margaritas are my favorite of all the places I've tried in town. My husband likes to do taco Tuesday as many of the places in town have specials. Unfortunately, El Mexicano isn't one of them. I like the atmosphere as there are... More

Was just there last night for dinner. Food is very good. The best shrimp fajitas ever! I have always enjoyed every meal I have had there!

This is my third, and last review of El Mexicano. The food seems to be going downhill - and their wine list is not true. This time instead of ordering our usual Marguerite's we thought we would have some wine instead. BIG mistake. The first wine, for my wife, was supposed to be a top brand Riesling (the brand was... Ate there again last night and it was great. Don't miss their huge house Margaritas. Have tried many things on their menu and am never disappointed. Having lived in Mexico for periods of time and can cook Mexican food, this is my choice of all the Mexican restaurants in Payson. I'm a local and my friends and I always meet... More

We arrived in Payson late in the evening, thought we would try some Mexican food. Bad idea, the parking lot had several cars, so we thought that was a good sign. But, there was a fairly large group finishing up a birthday party, so those cars were quickly gone. We arrived at 8:30 pm, and they close at 9:00, so... More

Not the best mexican food at all. We both ordered Chimichangas and I have never seen a Chimi made they way they did it. I ended us being sick after eating only half and did not finish. Will not be comming back here again.

We stop here every time we go camping to have a last meal before the realities of city life set in. It's similar to a Los Betos, but it seems better in the pine trees. I always go with the bacon breakfast burrito and a quesadilla. What could go wrong?

After eating here a few more times we've decided to downgrade them to poor due to overall hospital like bland tasting ingredients. The beef was flavorless. Paysonites want someplace good to eat but this is another dud.

had the camarons a la plancha, pretty tasty dish. i saw several items that were new on the menu and was told they just changed their menu and added/took away several things. the service was good. some things are a bit pricey but there are plenty of choices if you are on a budget like myself. being in the industry...
