Spent the weekend in Payson, hubby and I decided to get a pizza and take back to motel. This was the worst pizza we have ever had. Still we were hungry so we did both eat a slice, and was up all night with a bad stomach.

My client suggested this place as the best Italian food in town and he's obviously right. Service was prompt and pleasant and food was wonderful. I had the "Pasta with Personality"....perfectly cooked pasta with enough toppings to taste like a cross between pasta and pizza. They have a full bar....wine list is limited but some nice selections. Very large portions....and... More

Cute restaurant - loved the decor and the feel. However, very disappointed in the pizza. We thought - expected - a homemade crust because only places like Peter Piper have ready made crust (we drove away from the Pizza Factory across the street for that very reason - with a name like that, must be cardboard with sauce). Cardo's was... More

Okay, let's consider the local. It's an hour north(ish) of Phoenix AZ, how much Italy can one expect. Went with a group and judging by everyone else's dishes my Greek Salad was the best choice. That said, the place was full so, guess the locals don't seem to mind. When passing through, this would not be my "go to" place.

This placed seemed promising. The waitress was ok but they got the order wrong. We asked for a sampler without mushrooms and they came back in 2 minutes with mushrooms. Obviously frozen. I ordered the steak sandwich with no mushrooms and it came with mushrooms. Half the sandwich didn't even have meat on it! My wife's pasta was all boxed... More

It was 8:45 on a Saturday night and we tried to eat next door to our motel at Tiny's family dinner. We were promptly told it was 15 minutes before closing and were given the evil eye by the staff so we left and went across the street to Cardo's. What a difference. Welcomed with a menu, a beer and... More

OH MY GOD! This place knows how to cook! It has been a very long time since we have had good Italian. While visiting Payson I know we will stop by here again and again! The staff were all very friendly and all went out of their way to help not only customers but each other. Our server also knew... More

This restaurant is right at the crossroads of Payson and heading up to the White Mountains for fly fishing or other outdoor adventures. The hours of operation are great because we are usually late for everything (so we know we can get good food late). The atmosphere is extremely comfortable. It may sound funny but it is one of those... More

We stopped here en route from Albuquerque to Phoenix - we were seated promptly and introduced to our very pleasant waiter. The food was very tasty, the garlic bread appetizer served 4 of us. Pasta dishes could do with a little less sauce but overall it was very tasty - real comfort food

It's a quiet late Monday night and not many tables. We were seated almost immediately. The waitress was friendly and very helpful with our orders. Our family of 3 shared a Caesar salad which was very good. My son had a calzone and he loved it. He also had a gelato for dessert and he claimed the best he had.... More
