Good diner food

We were looking for basic diner food, nothing “creative.” This place was perfect. They had a limited menu, which actually is a good thing because they were not trying to be ‘everything.’ That being said, they had an adequate selection of sandwiches, breakfast, salads, and an entrée or two. I had... read more

Great little greasy spoon in Payson just minutes from the Matazel casino . We stopped for lunch on a recommendation and I'm so glad we did . I'm sad we were too full to try their pie ! Next time for sure . I had the chicken fried steak with garlic Mashed potatoes & sautéed zucchini & spinach. It came... More

just stopped before getting back into payson to have lunch. Great food and serve a late breakfast. They were busy but service was still good. The food was more than you would expect from a little dinner.

A hungry crew arrived needing a breakfast refill. I had the biscuits and gravy and a side of hash browns. Both were excellent and judging from the empty plates, everyone else in our party felt the same way. A great place to fill up on your way to Rim Country.

We went for breakfast and it was very good. The service was efficient and friendly. The real plus for us was the lemon meringue pie we took home.....some of the best pie we have eaten! The crust, filling and meringue melted in your mouth. Can't wait to return for more.

We eat here at least twice a week. The atmosphere is homey and the family that runs the place are delightful! The food is consistently fresh, plentiful and delicious. They offer daily specials, truly decadent homemade cinnamon rolls and their pies are some of the best in town. My friend and I can have a great meal for under $20.... More

This trip I had the pulled pork sandwich and potato salad. It was spectacular, a sweet BBQ sauce, like a molasses or brown sugar sauce, not so big that it stuffs you whole but well enough to satisfy. On the board, they list the days' pies. We asked what the Amish Buttermilk Pie was. Well, after a brief description, we... More

I drove past this café when I first saw it. It is run down, dated, and the paint faded. But there is a good reason that the parking lot is filled to the gills! Greeted by one of two pregnant servers (must be something in the water here), we were immediately seated in a booth. Service was EXCELLENT! The menu... More

We make it a point to have breakfast here each time we're in Payson. Most recently, we had the eggs, bacon, hash browns, with side of biscuit and gravy. Aside from the gravy being a little on the cold side, everything was delicious. We topped it off with what we considered "dessert" - a couple of pumpkin pecan pancakes. Delicious!... More
