My friend and I drove from Tucson to hike the Nature Conservatory trails in beautiful Patagonia, Arizona. After a wonderful hike ($6 for non-members of the Conservatory and $3 for members), we stopped at the Velvet Elvis for lunch. Although the restaurant reminds me of lovely little cafes in Mexico, there is a velvet painting of Elvis on the wall.I... More

Really a fun place with a real velvet elvis on the wall (not to bad), service is very good and the Pizza is way above average, and if you like garlic it's fantastic.

There is a velvet Elvis painting inside, and I guess that's what the name is based on. In the front is a lovely tree and vine covered patio, but that was full, so we ate on the enclosed porch, which was also very nice. We all enjoyed our various Mexican dishes. Delicious food! The owner is friendly and makes the... More

About 10 years ago, I stopped at this restaurant with my kids on the way out of town after spending the weekend camping, and I loved it. I'm glad my girlfriend and I found it again! We were out sampling all the wineries nearby and decided we needed some food in us before we fell over! Well The Velvet Elvis... More

I always stop for a meal at the Velvet Elvis when I am in Patagonia. Cecilia makes excellent food with an added touch. She is often on the floor to make sure all is well, the food, the service, etc. Pasta dishes, wonderful. Fresh ingredients add to their flavor.

You might drive by this place and never notice it, but it boasts a charming outdoor patio and funky but comfortable interior, with great food and a good selection of beer and wine. If you visit Patagonia and fail to stop at the Velvet Elvis you haven't really seen Patagonia.

A nice little place located on the highway through town. They do a very good thin crust with fresh Motzerella . Price is right too!

After eating here at least a dozen times, and writing two rave reviews about the "Velvet Elvis", it is hard to write "terrible" after its name. But there is no other word for the terrible experience we had on Friday (9/12), and we are never going back or recommending it to anyone again. Things have changed drastically. As you drive... More

I've heard about the Velvet Elvis for years. If you are staying in the Patagonia, you must stop here. Small attractive restaurant with cozy patio. Very good pizza with many choices. Salads are huge and can be split among four people if you're having pizza too. The two guys had the lamb stew special and both gave it excellent reviews.... More
