There's a shrine to Out Lady of Guadalupe, and a black velvet image of Elivs. What's not to like. I had pizza. I should have listened when he said a slice was really huge -- I ordered two and didn't get through half of the second slice. My wife had a baked eggplant dish which she liked a lot. She... More

We found this little gem on a motorcycle ride through Patagonia, and we were more than pleased with the unique pizzas created in this restaurant. The outdoor seating is fabulous, the ambience is restful, the artwork is unique, and the t-shirts for sale are well priced and well made. Will be returning.

We went here for dinner based on some reviews we had read and what a wonderful surprise. We both had specials that were offered that evening, although the regular menu offerings also looked very good. The lamb shank was amazing! It was fall-off-the-bone tender with a delicious sauce. My husband had a pork special that came with pickled vegetables (asparagus,... More

Great find in such a small town. Not only a great selection of gourmet pizzas but other Italian specialties and fantastic salads too. A great wine selection with Sangria to die for. The service was outstanding. We will eat here again on our stay here. Patagonia is a hot spot for the bird watching community and many birders, like our self's come... More

Who can resist a place named the Velvet Elvis? The interior is open and cheerful, and the owner/hostess is welcoming. Pizza, Calzones, and salads all have a South of the border twist - try the Mariachi Blanco pizza; Jalapeno and green chile cheese sauce, roasted red peppers and artichoke hearts. A small one is plenty since they're very rich. A... More

The Velvet Elvis has it all: a small, outdoor, shaded patio area; indoor seating with a unique atmosphere & artworks (not JUST Elvis!); friendly/interesting staff; incredible food! We COULD have chosen among the delicious pizzas......BUT opted for a special entree: the "Famous Vegetarian Chile en Nogada" (Poblano pepper stuffed with quinoa, veggies, apples & golden raisins, spices--drizzled with a creamy walnut... Shared a pizza with artichokes, roasted red tomatoes, white sauce with green chiles and cream cheese, and capers. Excellent!! Our friends had a in-house made chorizo and red sauce which was also tasty. Good service and nice environment. We sat on the small patio which was nice so we could have our dogs with us. Calzones and salads also on... More

A visit to Southeast Arizona should include some small towns. Patagonia is about 90 minutes from Tucson and worth the time it takes to drive there. Velvet Elvis boasts a larger than life oil on velvet of Elvis as well as other memorabilia from the 50s and 60s. We ordered a large pizza for two of us and had plenty... More

A friend and I were shopping across the street at the Global Village (worth the drive from Tucson) and had lunch at the Velvet Elvis. I have been there on several occasions and like the casual atmosphere. We sat on the front patio under the Tombstone rose canopies. We were easily convinced to have the daily specials. I had a...
