An Historic Arizona Staple

One of the best patio dining spots in the Phoenix area. The meal starts off with some delicious sweet rolls -- just like the type one would eat for breakfast. The menu is hearty, and I like most of what I've eaten on it. Most people love the Colorado Lamb. But the menu has a nice variety of... read more

Varied and interesting happy hour menu with those WONDERFUL sticky buns. Lovely atmosphere with good views, misters for cooling and big fans (which weren't irritating). Staff was very friendly and very attentive. Would definitely recommend and we will return!

This is a fun place to go for Happy Hour drinks and food. The dishes are small so order several and share them with your friends. We ate at this restaurant twice in the same month, taking different friends. Some of the dishes we ordered were: artisan brie ($5), chicken or fish tacos ($5 each for three small tacos), crispy... Sit out side. Take it all in Go early grab a seat out side. We prefer it for appetizers we have been for restaurant week and it was wonderful then. I've introduced many people visitors & Locals to this great spot. We prefer out door seating since it gets noisy in side. Even in the heat they have misters. So... More

Staff was very attentive and they bring desert first! A warm sticky cinnamon roll. I ordered a wedge salad with chicken which was a refreshing cool meal on a warm evening. My husband ordered the pork tenderloin and substituted a baked potato, the meat was ok but not fork tender and the potato was hard, really hard. The restaurant was... More

Thank you for your honest review. While I was very happy to hear how much you and your husband enjoyed our stellar service and that the cinnamon roll as well as the salad was to your liking. I was disappointed to hear you had some issues with pork tenderloin and baked potato. While we usually receive high marks for these,... More

My wife and I along with a couple friend had one of our best meals ever on the night of July 4th. The atmosphere is beautiful although is was not possible to dine outside due to the normal summer Arizona heat. All four of us ordered the special of the night which was a good old fashioned Clambake. The meal... More

El Chorro should translate to 'the jewel' (la Jolla), as this place feels like an old friend. we saw it was open again and that they had a Ramos Fizz advertised. Very few places offer or know how to make one. They excelled. The food was excellent, the choices well thought out. Service was professional and friendly. Everyone was having... More

If it isn't 100 degrees out then you should sit on the patio. It is beautiful. I have been here for both brunch and dinner. I found it to be rather pricey at $420 for 4 people. Maybe we should drink less. My pork tenderloin was excellent. I would go back for brunch. Sticky buns are the best.

Traditional, newly updated, fun decor. Been here about 10 times. Cannot beat the central location and address. The gardens and entrance much improved. Best place to meet and greet famous locals. But the food still a little off sometimes. Nonetheless, one of the few places in the valley to get not just great meats, but beef bourguignone. You don't see... More
