This restaurant has an amazing ambiance. It could be great for almost any occasion. The food was wonderful. Everyone at the table enjoyed their entrees (short rib, fish special, chicken). The appetizers were also great (beet salad, burrata). The only issue was that the server seemed a little pissy, but it wasn't anything that bothered us too much. I would... More

While visiting the Phoenix area recently, I joined a small group for a birthday dinner at El Chorro in Paradise Valley, only minutes from Scottsdale. Food, ambience, and service were all very good and there is no doubt I will be returning on my next visit to the area. The truffle fries and short ribs were a hit as was... More

We decided to go to El Chorro as I had been there a few years back and had a wonderful eggs benedict. The meal this past Sunday was as delicious as it was before. I always go for their specialty and the eggs benedict this time was as good as I remembered. I know everyone will comment on their sticky... More

Beautiful grounds in the shadow of Mummy Mountain in Paradise Valley, AZ with ample outdoor seating, fireplaces, great ambiance. Giving only four stars due to a reservation snafu on the part of the restaurant employee, who was nice to apologize, but still made our dining situation less than what we had hoped to experience after a long day of traveling.... We were impressed as soon as we walked into this restaurant. The hostess made us immediately feel welcome. Our waiter who was from Hawaii was perfect-very helpful with explaining selections and making sure we were enjoying our meal. The food was out of this world. We had the Chateau Briand which was great. This is one not to miss if... More

The best aspect of this restaurant is the great outdoor seating. It offers nice views of camelback mountain. The evening stars and the night air are refreshing. There are heaters, but bring a sweater. The food is slightly above average. The service is good as well.

This is one of the best places for brunch on the weekend in the Valley...worth going out of your way for...the "sticky buns" are delicious and the choices for eating are also great... this has become a favorite meeting place for me when entertaining out of town guests...the views of Camelback Mountain and the idyllic setting only add to the... El Chorro was recommended by the concierge at our hotel. We were very happy. Good wait staff and excellent food but the delight was the patio. El Chorro has large patio that looks upon Camelback Mountain. The wonderful location and atmosphere created a very nice evening.

Celebrated 25th wedding anniversary on a Tues. night. The restaurant was full. The patio setting was exquisite. We inform the restaurant ahead of time of our celebration, table was perfect. We started off with the El Chorro margaritas, excellent, accompanied by the "oh so famous Sticky Buns", which now I know why. Starters: we shared the Schreiners's sausage Trio, this... More
