We were driving this lonely section of Route 66. Oatman was an obvious place to aim for as a lunchtime stop off. We loved the place. A tourist trap but great fun. Feral donkeys were friendly. Lunch at the Oatman Hotel was wonderful. The food isn't going to win awards but for convenience, quality and atmosphere it can not be... More

Nice stop for a buffalo burger and a beer to take a break from feeding the miles and shopping. You will understand why Gable and Lombard honeymooned here.

We decided to have lunch at the Oatman Hotel and found the place to be packed even at 11am. So we took a place at the bar which turned out to be a smart move as the bar tender has an excellent proximity to the kitchen. I've seen other bars papered with one dollar bills before, but this place is... More

For those of you who are not familiar with the town of Oatman, AZ, it is a small old western town along Old Route 66. The streets are bustling with gun fights tourists and a good sized herd of wild burros. Unlike other businesses, the Oatman Hotel Restaurant does keep the burros in the street. This place has the best... More

This a detour I was glad I didn't miss. Wild burros (donkey like creatures) wandering the main street, they are not afraid of crowds and love carrots. Out front of the Hotel a shoot-out old west 10 minute show happens at noon and 2:15-ish. It was a whole lot of fun. There were shops that line the main street; jewellery,... More

I have a hard time rating something terrible, but my hamburger was so small and thin you could see through it. The chicken fajitas were cold. The hotel was neat, but the historic parts were closed to visitors. Another tourist trap. I would say eat before you go to Oatman. We were told that this was the place to eat.... More

While I rated the restaurant average, due mainly to the food (what can you really say about burgers, even if they're buffalo?), the setting of the restaurant is definitely unique. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also a bit unique. The town is a throwback to the old west and is situated on historic Route 66. Donkeys roam freely on... More

Lovely old gold miner place. The walls plastered with dollar notes where everybody who went there left one stapled onto the walls and pillars. Groovy! The food tastes average but its big portion compensate BUT the atmosphere is fantastic and one just enjoys eating here. Considering Clark Gable honeymooned here , this place must be visited. The guitarist plays country... More

Take a trip to Oatman Ghost Town and have lunch at the "Oatman Hotel". Try the appetizer tray for an amazing $10.00 More than enough for two people. In the restaurant there are $1.00 bills covering all the walls, celling etc. I asked the waitress what the worth of all the dollar bills were and she said at the last... More

We just had to stop in at the old hotel where Gable and Lombard honeymooned. The place is a dump compared with what it was back then, and the rooms and museum upstairs are closed, but at least there is still the bar/restaurant downstairs. It's one of those places where everyone staples dollar bills to the walls. The whole town... More
