On our very first visit to Mt. Lemmon we visited the Iron Door for lunch. Not only were they friendly, but very kind to our little dog who was in need of water. Lorrie Hans, the manager, was so kind. I am GF, so she went out of her way to make sure my food was GF and delicious. She... More

The pie is awful. The crust like wet paper. Corn bread is exceptional. Don't bother with the nachos, not what you expect. Didn't try the chili which is a specialty. Sever was exceptional and the atmosphere very up moth ski lodge.

We drove up Mt. lemon on a warm, Feb. day. The famous pie lady passed away and her restaurant is gone. Folks in Summerhaven recommended this beautiful location at the ski area. Turkey cranberry sandwich was great and wonderful individual pies.

We just happened to drive all the way up to the Ski area. We found a restaurant at the top and it was just about lunch time so we decided to try it. My entire time here so far in AZ as far as dining has gone has been just so so...until I reached this place! The food was not... More

Good food, service, and a warm fire to knock out the chill of the day. Family, who lives in the area, took us here for lunch. The drive up was exceptional and topped off with a nice lunch. Carrot soup was good as were the sandwich dishes a couple of us ate. My wife enjoyed her quiche. A nice, comfortable... More

We took my sister & her partner up to the top of Mt Lemmon over the Thanksgiving w/e. While they took the chairlift ride, we went in the Iron Door, got a nice table, and had our coffees! When my sister joined us we had an EXCELLENT lunch....GREAT Chili, super service...everyone was enjoying lunch!

My husband and I had lunch on a beautiful November day. The menu is mostly sandwiches and appetizers and homemade desserts are listed on the backboard at the entrance. We ordered a couple of non sandwich options, although the sandwiches looked really good. The chili was very good with chunks of meat instead of ground beef. This is served with... More

I go for view and location - don't really notice if bad service or food - worth it regardless. It is part of a magnificent scenic drive. Cannot believe is outside of desert

Good lunch special. Bratwurst w cabbage and German potato salad. paired with a nice beer, it was perfect and not expensive. We knew nothing of the place prior to arriving at the top of Mt Lemmon. We decided to take a chance and i am glad we did., Not crowded, good service. I am sure weekends get crowded, especially with... More
