Had lunch here today on the patio. We left Oro Valley where the temps were around 100 degrees and drove up the mountain. We got a little rain on us but only after we enjoyed lunch. The temps dropped down to 57 degrees. How wonderful and refreshing. The food and service here were great! We were entertained by a couple... More

The ever-changing scenery on the drive to the top of Mt Lemmon was amazing, and we were in a good mood upon arriving at Iron Door. We were seated quickly at our choice of tables by the back windows. Our server, Nelson, had a quick wit and silver tongue, adding even more charm to this restaurant that had a decor... More

Excellent food and excellent service. Save room to have one of their delicious pies. Second time we have eaten there for lunch and it was great both times. This time we had pie after our meal and what a wonderful treat. We sat outside and the view was beautiful with a cool breeze blowing. If you are in Tucson or... More

This is an excellent place for lunch (too bad they rarely serve supper, and they are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays). The food is delicious; the liquid appetizer with chunks in a small bowl is souperb. They use wonderful herbs to make it special. I usually get the Gobbler, which, like their other food, is made with fresh ingredients; most... More

After a lovely scenic drive up the mountain, we stopped at Iron Door to try their famous chili and pie. What a great place! We loved the view from our table on the deck, the yummy chili, the corn bread, the French dip, the cherry pie and Nelson. I also loved the beer recommended by Nelson. I think Nelson may... More

On our very first visit to Mt. Lemmon we visited the Iron Door for lunch. Not only were they friendly, but very kind to our little dog who was in need of water. Lorrie Hans, the manager, was so kind. I am GF, so she went out of her way to make sure my food was GF and delicious. She... More

The pie is awful. The crust like wet paper. Corn bread is exceptional. Don't bother with the nachos, not what you expect. Didn't try the chili which is a specialty. Sever was exceptional and the atmosphere very up moth ski lodge.

We drove up Mt. lemon on a warm, Feb. day. The famous pie lady passed away and her restaurant is gone. Folks in Summerhaven recommended this beautiful location at the ski area. Turkey cranberry sandwich was great and wonderful individual pies.
