Class lodge with very good food

Had lunch on a Mon. afternoon as I took the day off to take my visiting nephew to Mt. Lemmon for the first time. The Iron Door is a classic lodge in a beautiful location. One can eat outside on the patio and watch for hummingbirds or inside the wood paneled lodge and possibly have a city view... read more

Our family of five people today had a wonderful time at the iron door. The food, especially the chili and the turkey reuben were extraordinary. Bratwurst and soup were excellent. They were delivered with fantastic corn bread! Our server, Barbara, was fun and full of interesting facts. She really helped add to the ambience of the restaurant. The only caution... More

We went Saturday morning for breakfast. My fiancé, who has a service dog and I were all there. We walked in, and the hostess (semi tall, Caucasian girl with short hair and glasses, in case management is reading) asked us if we wanted to sit outside or inside. We chose outside due to Tucson being 100 degrees and Mt. Lemmon... More

We're local and decided to change things up. Glad we did. Chili and corn bread are excellent. German potato salad and sausage plate are great. View is awesome. And then we had pie. We miss the pie place on Mt Lemmon but these guys more than cover a great pie. New best place to get a great slice of pie.... More

Great menu and yummy selections. DOG FRIENDLY!!! We sat outside in front of a great views of the chair lift and watched the hummingbirds squabble over the feeders. I had the German selection which was super delicious! They have cornbread that is more like dessert! Highly recommend!

Really good eating, with a wonderful view, being right across from the ski lift. A varied menu, with some of the best pie I have ever eaten. Nice family restaurant, withindoor and outdoor seating

Mt Lemmon is a beautiful place but the Iron Door was a disaster. Our server was very annoying with his ranting about things we did not understand. We were seated outside in dirty plastic tables and chairs. While walking thru the restaurant we noticed the dingy plastic tablecloths that looked dirty. We ordered our food and our silverware was dirty.... More

This was the off season which may have influenced the lack of attention to customers. The menu had a good selection of items but nothing special. The broccoli cheese soup tasted like it had been mixed from a cardboard box and was awful. I would wait to eat once I was back in Tucson.

Thoroughly enjoyed the view, the food, service and decent prices for what we got. Recommended stop for all Mt Lemmon visitors instead of other dining locations.

The service is Beyond horrible!!!! I get that it is at the top of a mountain so people will go anyway. We waited 15 min before anyone came to greet us at our table. Than when the waitress did she was rather rude. We ordered and our food came out quick but for get asking for anything you need or... More
