Great Place to Eat and See Some Skiers on Runs

We drove up Mount Lemmon to see the views. At the top, we decided to eat a light lunch. The best part was the view from the deck of the skiers on the slopes. The food and server (Robert) was great. Lots of choices.

Great. Historic restaurant at the top of Mt Lemon. Fire in the fireplace. Rustic. Great food and deserts. Very good Service. Get the Iron Door Chili.

We beat the ski crowd to lunch by arriving just after 11am. The fireplace was going, providing a warm, comfy atmosphere. Our waitress was GREAT! Friendly, attentive and accommodating. I had the cheesy beer soup which was excellent and had a yummy spicy mustard in it too. Mom said the pea soup was okay. We split the turkey reuben with... More

Small place but very cute and homey. We sat by the huge fireplace and had a lovely lunch. Great sandwiches, soups, salads. It seems they are famous for their chili. But most of all, the delicious corn bread! Well worth it!

My husband and I ventured up the scenic Mt Lemmon drive today and we're delighted to happen upon the Iron Door. We split an order of their house chili - big chunks of meat, tasty sauce and beans topped with cheese and diced onion. The chili came with home made corn bread, butter and honey that was out of this... More

If you travel to Mt. Lemmon, you must not miss stopping for a meal or snack at the Iron Door. The delicious food and home made pies are enough reason to dine here, but it is all made even more special if you are here in the late spring, summer, or early fall when you can sit on the deck... More

This restaurant is an hour above Tucson and situated in an old log cabin at the base of Southern Arizona's only ski slope. Of course the food is fabulous with many unusual and homemade treats. Try their daily special (ours was an amazing frittata) or the European Breakfast which includes a large slice of strudel. After breakfast you can ride... More

We stopped here and were pleasantly surprised with the service, food, and the varied menu choices. Anyone can find something to eat there. They close at 4:30 P.M.

Enjoyed a delightful lunch at the Iron Door. Our server was hilarious, providing prompt service peppered with charming accents and tongue-twisters that had us chuckling. I had the vegetarian Broccoli Cheddar soup and the Sarah Lemmon's vegetarian sandwich, which has some unusual flavor combinations I really enjoyed. The view is outstanding and the interior decor cozy. A wonderful spot on... More

We had a table for 5 dinners. Service was initially entertaining and got the orders to the table but screwed up the final checks. My soup was not very good and was served warm not hot. It was served with a generous piece of what the called corn bread, unfortunately it only vaguely resembled cornbread and had a very sweets... More
