We drove out of Tucson in 77 degrees which dropped to 42 by the time we reached Summerhaven and there had been snow earlier in the day. However, the cafe was open, the fire was roaring and and the staff enthusiastically welcoming. A burger and a veggie wrap were both delicious (the wrap was crammed with mushroom, peppers, onion and... More

Have lives in Arizona for 35 yrs and finally went to Mt. Lemmon!! I was afraid that my Prius might have a problem going up this mountain. Suggestion for the average driver - fill up with gas before you go up the mountain! The road is in amazing shape and so well planned. Beautiful trip and amazing views!

The food was delicious and the got coffee or cocoa in the wintertime hits the spot. Come here often just for the ski valley feel, then hit the slopes for some of the best rides.

We went there to escape the 108 degree heat in Tucson. We had 4 couples in front of us and was told that there would be a 10-15 minute wait. We were seated in 10 short minutes. The spinach salad was to die for and reasonably priced. My husband's sandwich was very good too. The wait staff was very friendly... More

Beautiful drive, good restaurant and general store. Main road through village a little difficult to maneuver, but we did okay. Lovely area and so nice and cool from the desert floor.

Travelled up to Summer Haven to do some hiking. Had a chance to hike Marshall Gulch. Not a lot to do actually in Summer Haven. The fire certainly devastated the area - 340 homes destroyed. There are now two restaurants in town as well as the Iron Gate at the ski hill operating. The community can certainly use your help... More

Thoroughly enjoyed this day trip and have decided to rent a cabin up here once or twice a year. I love living in Tucson and this mountain retreat is just minutes away from Tucson. A must visit location.

Ruben Sandwiches are wonderful, and very beautiful mountains. Friends are vegan and glutton free, and they made entrees that could enjoy.

Ohh, Boy, what a beautiful little place: the cool temperature, the beautiful cabins, the fresh warm giant cookies, the sweet smell gift shop, the clear creek, the green trees and those " touch me" wild flowers.... All those are in Middle of Hot Summer in AZ?! We love it. After hiked along the creek, discovered the wild flowers, we went... More
