Not worth a stop

We stopped in here for a sandwich, coffee and cake. Cheap, but disappointing. The cake was not very nice, and the sandwich was also not very good. Coffee was ok. Things on the menu were not available. Service was friendly. No wifi. Overall, I would not recommend it.

Their staff was so friendly and nice. The Ponche Suizo itself was pretty interesting; super light and tastes like a coconut custard. My boyfriend LOVED them, I wasn't as much of a fan but their milkshakes and coffee were also really good! Would definitely recommend :)

My ice cream/coffee/chocolate drink was watery and not sweet. I don't think they used any ice cream. Many of the items pictured on the windows and menu were not available. We were disappointed and felt like we paid too much.

I tried the much lauded Ponche Suizo drink and really didn't care for it. It was 2$ for a large glass and I found it too sugary. The flavor was too sweet. It was a nice mousse I guess but not what I expect after all the rave reviews here. Had a nice cheap breakfast for 2,75 though that came... More

We came here to try the fzmous drink and have some cake. The owners were really friendly and happy to chat, we got the article about the drinks history (good for Spanish practise!) The ponche suizo was pretty tasty, after much discussion we think the fruit is similar to pumpkin spice. But it will remain a tasty mystery.

After a walk that fell into the water, we had a small lunch here: cofee and empanadas. The owner also gave us the drink the cafe is named after, poncho suisse, and an article about the drink. It is very nice, so is the owner and the food was tasty.

The suizo reminds me of sabayon and was delicious! I also had a coffee with amaretto, condensed milk and suizo which I highly recommend.

I went there because I was curious what the cross between a shake and a mousse will be like. I was most surprised by the taste! Difficult to describe and since it is not at all expensive, just go ahead and give it a try yourself.. Maybe this one helps: it takes the "Suizo" because their signature drink tastes like... More

Highly recommend it! Delicious fruity smoothie. Great service and cheap. Definitely worth a stop if you are in Banos.

It is a small coffee shop with one treasure, the Ponche Swise. It is a soft fruit shake very tasty. We also took the Capuchino combo with an almond cake and it was also good. We strongly recommend.
