Best Sandwiches in Town

The sandwiches and cappuccino in this small cafe were delicious. The group I was with had the turkey and cheese, ham and cheese and the vegetarian sandwiches. All were very tasty. Great artwork on the wall and just 1 block from the main town square. Also has some books for sale. I went back a... read more

When traveling in Ecuador I stopped here for breakfast. Owner was very kind and takes pride in her food and coffee. Had an excellent breakfast and they advertise best coffee around. I have to agree it was probably the best coffee I had in all of Ecuador. Also had a smoothie which was excellent. Owner takes great pride in her... More

Coffee was okay; Chai was not good. Service was super slow and the owner was quite rude and abrasive. Seemed to be pretty upset that our big group would come in a few times a day to give her business. Strange experience indeed.

You dont go here for 'just' something fast and cheap. In Ali Cumba you get quality AND in quantity. Yes this means you pay a bit more and have to wait a bit longer for this. The restaurant itself has a good vibe and the music made the wait enjoyable. Portions are big and it all tastes amazing and fresh.... More

Sandwiches and smoothies were good but overpriced. We were the only customers but waited ages, as did those who arrived afterwards. The owner even told one table they would have to wait 15 minutes to order while she washed up - there were only two other tables in the cafe. She also swears aggressively in conversation with customers and does... More

The cafe is nice, smoothies are good but expensive but the owner is very very rude. She was rude to everyone in the cafe and seems to be just a strange character in general. I left because she made me and my boyfriend feel so uncomfortable, she also wouldn't accept our money as the note was a bit dirty, which... More

you don't care about the owner. Sandwiches are very good, smoothies as well! Owner is not that friendly if you just want to drink somerhing and gives you any unimportant information. I. e. once I ordered a beer and then she said "Oh hmmm a beer.... then I have to go and buy some more beers this evening"... sorry for... More

Stopped by to have a quick breakfast and ended getting an earful for about 30 minutes before our order was taken. Lady initially struck me as friendly but gradually became just plain strange and uncomfortable. Quite overpriced at 7.50 a sandwich and not nearly as good as she thinks it is. I could make a better sandwich in 10% of... More

As we read that this was the place to be for coffee, we decided to give it a go. We were waited upeon by a little boy, which was cute. Then a lady came in, asking abruptly if we had already ordered. When we told her we had ordered coffee, she started listing the sandwiches she also had. It was... More

Sandwiches made with real and delicious French bread, but more importantly real cheddar cheese which made it amazing. The Danish lady who is the owner is a bit of a talker, but the food was worth it. The price was a little much compared to other food nearby, but not by much. The coffee was also really good, both the... More
