Very good sandwich

Maybe a bit expensive (7 dollar for 1 sandwich) but delicious! We ordered the tuna sandwiches. We got a big warm sandwich with lots of veggies.

It took 45 minutes to get a sandwich and a coffee which is ridiculous Quality is mediocre, price is high Owner is loud and not very hospitable, for example she would give the couple next to us the wifi password because they had only bought drinks and 'the wifi is only for people who also buy food'. Ludicrous! Avoid!

My husband and I found this place whilst wondering the streets and thought it looked good. We were right about the building and the chai tea was delicious but the lecture from the owner was not. It was totally empty apart from us, when she asked us where we were going next - Cuenca... She then launched into a ten... More

We stumbled upon cafe Ali Cumba as it was one of the few places open on a Sunday so we thought we'd give it a shot. We were soon greeted to a near empty room and a rude, abrasive and entirely inhospitable woman telling us we had to wait at least 15 minutes for any service. Forget about a basic... More

i came here for a coffee in the afternoon. The owner just yelled from across the room "what do you want?" And then got angry that I was only ordering a drink without food. The coffee wasn't good, and when I asked to use the book exchange, she had a rant about backpackers leaving her terrible books. Honestly, there are... More

I stopped at this place twice. Once for a sandwich and once for a chai latte. I am huge fan of chai, which was what got me in the door. When I noticed the price was $4 for a chai, I couldn't bring myself to pay (when the place down the road offers yummy chai for $1.80) so instead I... More

When we came into this cafe we got a very unpleasant welcome. We sat down on the big couch and waited for some friends. She asked multiple times if we where planning to stay which we wanted at that time. We weren't allowed to eat on the couch so we had to move to the table. The biggest complain is... More

The cafe has a warm exterior and interior, so we were surprised to find it empty. Minutes later we understood why: the owner is a brash, vulgar, and loud woman. It saddens me to see a place with so much potential being ruined by the person running it.

Great coffee but the female owner from Denmark spoils the overall experience. She is very rude, likes an argument and disagrees that the customer is always right. We found out the latter through a 10 minute one-way diatribe while trying to digest coffee and hot chocolate. The owner says she has been in the business for 13 years - from... More

The coffee is good but the place is spoilt by the lack of customer service. My husband and I only wanted a drink each but once ordered the owner told us of her home made cookies. My husband decided to order one as thry sounded ok but was told that it had to be two or none, so we had... More
