good selection of seafood at a good price, the staff were very efficiant & the meals were a good size.
We had a hard time choosing a place to eat on Sunday as everything was closed or didn't open until very late. We picked this place because it had generally positive reviews but were very disappointed. I only had spaghetti with tomato sauce and it was less than satisfactory. Everything my parents tried to other, they had run out of.... More
Warm and cute. Yellow walls, blue and yellow tablecloths, delicate white curtains. We know it's less 'commercial' when only one (or none of the staff) speak English just barely enough to help us order. Found this next to Yamana Native Indian Museum, a joy in itself. Husband loved the Argentinian beef. I loved the local crab. Pick your seat for... More
We visited this restaurant after being recommended by our hiking guide and as he said, the food was excellent. Starting off with some empanadas (carne), my wife had the King Crab and Rice and I had the Squid and King Crab Casserole. Both dishes were excellent with extremely fresh seafood. With a nice bottle of wine, the total meal still... More
This is a real find just off the main shopping street. The food is excellent, the staff very helpful and served the best wine we drank in Argentina
We had a fantastic meal at Chicho's. I tasted everyone's plate and everything was great. The Merluza Negra (house specialty) was FANTASTIC. I had the octopus and crab casserole, it was amazing. The service was impeccable. I would love to go again.
We went in as they were advertising a special of hake (merluza) in the window. We shared a portion which was more than enough for two. Excellent taste and perfectly cooked. It was not cheap but worth the extra cost. We would go back particularly to try their specials
We had an awesome dinner (we ate fish). It was tasty and well prepared. It is not a fancy restaurant, but it is great for an informal dinner. The staff was attentive, and everything ran smoothly. A little pricey, but not so much if compared to other places in Ushuaia (this is an expensive destination). This is a place we'd... More
Chicho's is a nice cozy restaurant that surprised us with amazing beef empanadas. Thin dough, knife-sliced beef, perfect season. Black merluza was also great!
OK, it's not the best looking restaurant in Ushuaia with its strong lights and its real simple ambiance, but the picada de mariscos worth the price. And yes, it is huge. We asked one for three and left almost a third of it. The centolla (king crab) cazuela is very well prepared, simple, tasty. The trout is also a very... More
