Verygood seafood and very good service

We came in for a late diner as the restaurant was on our path and did not regret it. We had fish (merluza) and seafood pasta and both where very good. The restaurant appeared to be popular with locals (never a bad sign). The wine list wast was decent too.

We ate here on there recommendation of our local tour guide as opposed to some of the more touristy restaurants that served king crab. We were fairly early for dinner by local standards but the service was prompt and courteous. While looking for lighter fare for a night, the king crab salad was wonderful, as were the green salads. There... More

We had a very nice meal here, all the seafood dishes were very good. But the fact that after waiting for 20 minutes we had to finally go to the bar for a final bill somewhat spoiled it. Not sure what the problem was, but they lost any interest of ours in dessert or tea when we could not get... More

After an afternoon on the Beagle Channel on a very cold day, this was the perfect way to end the day. As it was only about 7.30pm there were only 2 people in this restaurant. Remember, people in Argentina eat late even on a Sunday. The lovely maître de showed me to my seat. Perfectly laid tables, lots to see... More

Chicho's is a seafood restaurant that had recommended to us and being a bit early for an Argentinian dinner time, we slowly walked there, hoping that it would be open by the time we arrived. It was open, but there was only one other couple in a place that seated over 100, we wondered whether to go in or not.... More

The manager at my hotel said this place had some of the best local seafood, so I stopped in after visiting the Museo Yámana next door. I ordered a beer (Cape Horn Pilsen) and the cazuela de pulpo y centolla. What a delicious stew. It was actually packed with both crab and octopus, wall to wall. The only thing that... More

This is a very simple place where locals like to have their meals. It's just a large room with simple tables and basic nautical decoration. But what they lack in style they compensate in the kitchen. Their food is amazing! Their merluza negra (Patagonian toothfish) is so simple and yet so delicious! The centollas (king crab) are also great. Service... More

Had two expensive king crab dinner in the past two days and running out of money, tried to look for a cheaper place and found this. Here the seafood dishes are 15% cheaper than others. Had a trout in black butter style (A$120), French fries (A$36) and calafate ice cream coated with chocolate (A$36). Food is reasonable and good for... More

We went to dinner twice during our trip in Ushuaia. The service is very quick , the restaurant is clean and not noisy. Go for the local food that is fresh and tasty. I took the "merluza nera" and my wife the "Cazuela Pulpa y centolla", that's really fantastic. I fully recommend.
