slightly cheaper than restaurants nearby

Had two expensive king crab dinner in the past two days and running out of money, tried to look for a cheaper place and found this. Here the seafood dishes are 15% cheaper than others. Had a trout in black butter style (A$120), French fries (A$36) and calafate ice cream coated with chocolate... read more

We went to dinner twice during our trip in Ushuaia. The service is very quick , the restaurant is clean and not noisy. Go for the local food that is fresh and tasty. I took the "merluza nera" and my wife the "Cazuela Pulpa y centolla", that's really fantastic. I fully recommend.

After we went first time to Chicho's (don't confuse it with Chikos) we decided to go back to taste again a great seafood. Try the merluza negra the house speciality and cazuela de mariscos or fish. Super testy. The place is a bit hidden from the main road and not that noisy and popular like other locations. Local people come... More

Chicho's came highly recommended by our local tour guide as a great place for moderately priced seafood popular amongst locals. Between the deliciously fresh seafood and hospitality my expectations were exceeded. I highly recommend the king crab and octopus casserole.

Thanks to trip advisor we gave this place a shot. I was pleasantly surprised - the scallops in torrontes and cheese sauce were incredibly delicious. It was some of the best seafood I've ever eaten in Argentina. The langostinos al ajillo were also really tasty. I'd stick to the seafood though - the hamburguesa completa came and was a thin... We stumbled on this restaurant during lunch, and it was such a pleasant surprise. We had the natural king crab for starters and it was just succulent, sweet and fresh! We tried the merluza negra and it was so fresh and good, it melts in your mouth. We also tried the king crab and octopus casserole, and it was tasty... More

This restaurant was one of several ones advised by the B&B owner. Then we could hear the local guide recommending this place to some other person for excellent quality at the reasonable price and it was very true. The restaurant is very busy sometimes though it is located in the Rivadavia side street 15m from the main shopping and restaurants... More

More

We had a hard time choosing a place to eat on Sunday as everything was closed or didn't open until very late. We picked this place because it had generally positive reviews but were very disappointed. I only had spaghetti with tomato sauce and it was less than satisfactory. Everything my parents tried to other, they had run out of.... More
