Visit the restaurant! It's absolutely wort it!! The food was so artistic and it really felt that the chef was passionate about this! It's a small and super charming place. Every detail- from the way we were accommodated to the moment we left was so good. Don't hesitate to try it out!

I'd seen the reviews on the website, and Kalma Resto also popped up in both my travel guides, so thought I'd treat myself. This was easily one of the best dining experiences I had during my stay in South America. As others have said, the chef and owner came over to introduce himself and tell me about the restaurant. He... More

It's a sophisticated restaurant in the end of the world. It was recommended by a friend and I was not disappointed. The chef and owner welcomed us and explained his vision and the spirit of his place. The food was good and paired with a wonderful wine. It is not a place to go if you are in a hurry.

My husband and I were at the tail end of a 2.5 month long honeymoon and Ushuaia was one of our last stops after busing the length of South America. We saw this restaurant had great reviews in our travel books as well as this site and they lived up to every expectation. We had an appetizer, main, and dessert... More

I travelled Argentina solo and ended up at Kalma one evening based on the reviews here. I wasn't disappointed. Shortly after being seated Jorge, the owner and chef, came over to introduce himself and the restaurant. He told me about the restaurant philosophy (local ingredients and adds a worldly twist on his Grandmother’s recipes), the specials and gave me recommendations.... More

We're not big fishy eaters, but the fish was divine. With my little Spanish we managed to order something off menu that had come in fresh that day. Fish on its own, blah, salad on on it's own, salty, but put together, delicious! Caramelized onion soup entree and crispy chocolate cake with olive oil were all very tasty. Good wine... More

This was the best meal we had in Argentina. My gf and I were very surprised to find a restaurant of this caliber at the end of the world. All of the courses were great and the chef came out and introduced himself and explained each course. Highly recommended if you're in Ushuaia. It's a bit more expensive than the... More

The food and service here were both good but not out of this world. I think that the prices were high and that for what we were charged the food & the ambience should have been simply stunning. I make this judgement after comparing other restaurants throughout our stay in Argentina and at times we ate like kings for a... More

We wanted to splurge one evening and were not disappointed. I made a reservation in advance as suggested in previous posts. The chef/owner takes great pride in his creations and we enjoyed the whole meal. The black hake was perfectly cooked!
