If you are tired of eating Pasta, Lamb and meat and in the mood of a non pretentious place, Chiko is the option. Excellent seafood and fish at reasonable prices. Of course, try the Centolla or King Crab in any of its preparations. You won't regret it.

We had a very good lunch for a reasonable price at Chiko in Ushuaia. There was a daily luncheon special of meatballs which many locals seemed to have ordered. We probably would have gotten our food more quickly if we had ordered the meatballs. Our waiter was very nice and brought us bread before our meal. We ordered crab casserole... More

We tried this restaurant as recommended by Lonely Planet and Trip Advisor. It was delicious and a very busy place. We showed with no reservation and the hostess kindly offered us a table that would be available in 30 minutes and reserved for us. We returned 30 minutes later and were seated and served. Service was fast and excellent. The... More

This place was recommended by a tour guide as one of the best to eat crab. Well, the crab was not available which was a real disappointment. The food is average but what let's the place down is the random service. It's slow due to lack of staff and not attentive at all. Can be missed

Went specifically as it was recommended for King Crab and it was not available. The Bife a lo Pobre I ended up with in its place was lack lustre. Mussels for starter were however good, so that might give hope that the crab would have been. Service slow to exceedingly slow

I am a food lover, but I definitely think that a good service can sometimes make you forget about mediocre food. In this case Chiko is the worst place of my visit in Ushuaia, people here live from tourism so they are not only helpful but also very kind... Chiko was the exception. We arrived here because of a recommendation... More

We went in thinking it would be a great place for food. It's cold inside, and so are the staff. Our food was slightly above mediocre, but the view of the mountains was great. For the price you might as well pay $10US more and get better food on the Main Street.

Everyone was raving about this place, so we decided to try it out. First of all waitresses were rude, bread was stale. food took too long to arrive, and a lot of items on the menu were not available. Prices were reasonable. One consolation at least.Surprised that in a touristy area, this place had no English speaking people. Maybe good for... More

I’m already reluctant to try seafood in a tourist town, and my Centolla Casserole from Chikos has hardly convinced me otherwise. For starters, I waited over half an hour for my food, not including the 15 minutes I spent trying to get the attention of a server...any server. After I finally got someone's attention, my casserole arrived. The thing is,... More
