Nice place to try something new

The restaurant is quite cosy. The wait staff is very polite and friendly. The food is quite good. Generally, the food is not served with any side dish; therefore, be sure to ask for one. The staff should point this out while taking order. The place is a bit small, so plan your meal in advance.

Very known place, I've been there twice in different years and the conclusion is the same: at least they are consistent, but not in a good way... Both times I ordered the very same dish, it's kind of a centolla bisque. Very, very bland! The staff was attentive in an Ushuaia way, we arrived five minutes before opening and they... More

Location was okie, facing the main street. Nice restaurant with slightly higher price. Food was average, tiramisu was okie. The serving of food took quite a while as there was only a 2-3 waitress.

As the majority of the tourist places, you can walk to most of them. It is located at meters of the port. The menu is quite completed and you can taste several homemade style alternatives. The prices are high and not always in accordance with the food.

Very nice restaurant in Maipu street facing the port. Nicely decorated and they serve great food , the Tia Elvira soup is very good and very tasty also the Crab in all ways. The price is a little high than the other restaurants.

We went to Tia Elvira on the recommendation of a friend. The attitude of the woman who was seating people should have been our first indication and we probably should have left. She seemed to be friendly to Spanish speaking patrons, but not to anyone else. In fact, when three people opted to leave in the face of her rudeness,... More

The food here was quite good and very reasonable, in a cozy spot overlooking Ushuaia Bay. However, we were the first lunch customers and told the server we had to be out in one hour. Receiving our lunch (nothing complicated) took 45 minutes......

Had a nice meal here during our only night in Ushuaia. It was't our first choice but we weren't disapointed. The good: the place has some charm, the black hake, the casseroles and crab were all good and the wine selection wasn't bad. The service was a little slow and the meal a little expensive but then again you're at... More

We ordered crab (outside the shell) as an appetizer & it was good, but it could have been better. We had the local grilled black fish as an entree & it was also good but not great. We also drank a bottle of white wine. Interestingly enough, this turned out to be our most expensive meal during our 4 weeks... More
