Good, not great

We ordered crab (outside the shell) as an appetizer & it was good, but it could have been better. We had the local grilled black fish as an entree & it was also good but not great. We also drank a bottle of white wine. Interestingly enough, this turned out to be our most expensive meal during... read more

A tourist from our hotel recommended this restaurant and we went with some friends. When we arrived without reservation the restaurant was crowd but they ask us to wait few minutes for set a table for 6. There is a very small room to wait but after 10 min they called us. All of us order a fish dish but... More

I am rating the service only, as we didn't get to eat here since they would not serve us. We came for dinner and were rather abruptly (rudely) told to wait outside when we arrived. There wasn't a ton of room in the restaurant, so this made some sense to us apart from the manner in which the message was... More

We arrived early from our cruise and had a spare evening which we decided to spend eating out in Ushuaia. We had no bookings so we hiked up the hill to Kaupe but they were fully booked. We ended up here and it was early evening and we had no problem getting a table. There were only two waiting staff... More

Our tour guide recommended this small, crowded spot overlooking the harbor and her choice please everyone in our group of 5. Service is a bit slow, because there are only two servers but the seafood is fresh and well prepared. Not for gourmet meals but a good, reliable place for a meal en route to a cruise. As always in... I went there based on my tour book's recommendation, and met a couple who went there based on their hotel's front desk. The three of us ordered three different things. My seafood with rice is the best seafood dish that I ever had! There were a range of things in it… very well done. My dinner friends ordered the dishes... More

We ate here twice while staying in Ushuaia. The second time the day after as we enjoyed the meal so much the first time. Bookings are definitely required - we got in around 6.30/7pm and it was quiet then but later and the restaurant gets very busy. The food selection was great, with the seafood being fresh and tasty. The... More

I went here yesterday with my family and I was expecting more. The restaurant is cozy but seems to me like a place that was once really good and now takes it for granted. Our waitress kind of pulled our leg since she didn't warn us that the portions we were ordering were good for two people. We ended up... More

Listed as one of the best (and oldest) restaurants in Ushuaia, I just couldn't miss it! Warm people and good food (best served with argentinian wine). I would come back again!

A family enviroment, it feels you are eating at your dear aunt/grandmother's house. When it is very full it can take a while to ask for dessert. The food is very good. We ate two kinds of king crabs and black hakes. Recommended!
