I stopped at this place when I saw Vegetarian Moussaka on the chalkboard menu outside. It was fabulous. Tasty and generous, served piping hot. The atmosphere is wonderful, as you feel you are in a neighborhood corner bar. There was a delicious appetizer of bread and olive tapenade. I also highly recommend the Antares Porter, which they serve.

Close to many hostels and up the hill away from the town. Great place to relax after a long day. Very cozy feeling and friendly staff that speak English. The empanadas are so dang good- best I had in Argentina. The stew also very good. Very reasonable prices.

In Argentina there's almost the obligatory basket of bread varieties and dips served before the meal. Here we had nuts and toasted bread rounds served with a very nice curry eggplant sauce......AS WELL. The meals are Huge and ordinary. We were so pleased we refused the bread on this occasion Service is very slow. Located uphill from town centre, the... More

During our trip to El Calafate we had dinner twice at this restaurant, even during New Year's Eve. Great food, service and ambience, definitely recommended.

After returning from El Chalten on a night bus, I had my dinner at the restaurant due to the close proximity of about 2 minutes to my hostel, America Del Sur. The restaurant has a good feel to it and the waitress promptly served me. I already have a notion of what to have for dinner prior to going to... More

Cozy place, staff is very friendly and happy to explain/reccomend dishes. 10 mins walk from the center of town, but worth a stop.

The waitress was very nice, she gave us 2 samples of the beer they had on tap when we couldn't decide between red and blond beer. After reading reviews about the argentinean stew (with pork) I was curious. My girlfriend ordered pasta, this pasta was average for Argentina and there's not much to say about it. The stew tasted OK... More

Excellent meal. We tried the lamb stew, argentinean stew and lamb goulash. The best was the lamb stew in my opinion but they were all delicious. Great value for around $10 USD each. Wine was $2.50 USD / glass... can't go wrong!! :)

We visited this restaurant while we were in El Calafate. I am vegetarian and they had quite a few good choices. Food was very good, waitress was very nice and helpful, able to communicate in English. Atmosphere was also nice. I definitely recommend for nice dinner.
