# 1 (truly deserved)

We stayed at the Kosten Aike hotel and had dinner at the Mi Rancho (which is just two blocks down the road) four times during our stay in Calafate. The small restaurant is in an old brickstone building that is charmingly remodeled. There is a good selection of pasta (homemade) and meat dishes. The... read more

The food was excellent. This place is a cosy and romantic. The tables are very close so you can overhear all conversations. We had the lamb T bone. It was superb. The bill came to 475 peso with a tip and one glass of wine. Cash only

We visited Mi Rancho based on the reviews we saw on Trip Advisor. The reviews were bang on. The restaurant is a tiny house just off the main street in El Calafate. The owner is a husband and wife team that opened up the place 3 years ago with the wife being the chef and husband host. The menu has... More

Nice warm bread to start. My girlfriend orders the pasta. The pasta is one of the best I've had. I live in São Paulo and have access to great Italian, and this place is probably better. The lamb with risotto was also outstanding. Ordered the creme brûlée for dessert and was a little disappointed there. It wasn't your standard creme... More

We enjoyed our first meal here so much that we went back for more! Delicious food (steak was unbelievable, shrimp/calamari starters were also lovely and great dessert menu) and prompt service. Small restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. Would gladly go again!

A small but warm and friendly restaurant you have to visit. We booked this place purely from recommendation of Trip Advisor. It's only 2 blocks from where we stay. Food is very good. Very friendly and understanding service that exceed our expectaions. Make sure you have room for dessert, you don't want to miss it.

This tiny family owned restaurant served the best food across two countries we visited on our trip, including 5* hotels. We had two dinners here and the lamb and lomo steaks and deserts were unforgettable. I would not say that lamb stew was excellent in comparison, but it was very flavorful. All other restaurants in Calafate looked very average but... More

This is a small pretty restaurant. Friendly warm ambient made us very comfortable. Dishes are quite reasonable and good taste. Especially we pretty much satisfied with whole things because it was not a one what is called "just for tourist type".

The owner is very welcoming, know English well, the place is very nice and clean. The food: I order the chicken dish. It was deligthful! I will defiantly recommend! The price is not too expensive for that kind of restaurant.

We really enjoyed dinner here, one of us had the lamb stew and the other had a pork dish. Both were excellent - the lamb stew was so good that when we came back to El Calafate 3 nights later, we ordered the lamb stew and the trout. Have to say as a fly fisher, the trout was beautiful, moist... More
