4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2015 NEW

We went to Mi Rancho which is off the main drag, in search of something quieter, & it was just that-in a good way! It had a very cosy atmosphere with a very friendly family running it. The staff spoke English (which for us, not speaking much Spanish at all, was great) & although it was full when we arrived... More

We came for dinner three nights in a row, that's how good this place is. The food is extremely well prepared, italian food approved by Italians. To top it all off, the atmosphere is super warm and cozy. Do remember to make reservations, though!

Quaint and cute restaurant in a small historic house in El Calafate. Very cozy and comforting. The menu is diverse with a lot of Italian influence. Pastas were excellent, and the steak was one of the best we had in Argentina (and we had a lot). The service was quick but had a few missteps (a wrong drink order and... More

The restaurant is tourists orientated, meaning that their style is different from the regular Argentinean practice. Their salad price is higher than average restaurants, but the portion size is 1/3. they have a cover charge, which is normal in a touristy downtown area. However, the owner purposely did not give changes (way over 10% tips). When asked, instead of giving... More

I booked a table for 19.45 and wasn't told that I would be surrounded by staff hounding me to vacate so that they could give it to 3 Chinese people 90 minutes later. What an unpleasant experience. But it wasn't just that .. the service was served chilled; of the 3 things I ordered, 2 weren't available (and it took... More

We do not share the No.1 rating. Sirloin was rather lacking taste, the chicken & sweet potato stew too sweet overall.

Very good food, nice service but they do not take credit card what i do not understand in a place like Calafate, and which can be problematic.

This place came recommended by both friends, trip advisor and the guidebook, so we were hoping it would be good - and it was. It's a small restaurant, family run, with a great selection of food. We went for lamb as that was recommended by friends. It was a great choice, as was the supporting wine! If you fancy going,... More
