Perfect

Belated review: we actually went to Mi Rancho in March 2013 but forgot to review until now. Food and service was excellent but the highlight was when all of the ATMs in town broke down and I only had half the bill in cash. The owner not only didn't mind but he shouted us free desserts and sat down... read more

A very cute little place that had a warm atmosphere. Quite literally, it was downright hot as the traditional clay oven took up half of the kitchen. The salad was interesting as there was a list of ingredients you could chose from, but you were limited to three choices. We chose beets, carrots and onions and found out the hard... More

In a city like El Calafate with so many options, it can be difficult to choose a good restaurant. For having stayed for an extended time in El Calafate, I was lucky to be able to try many different options. My dinner at My Rancho will probably be one of the best ones. The restaurant is really well located, and... More

We popped into this place without a reservation after reading all of the positive reviews. The place is tiny and luckily we were able to grab a seat right by the front door. The restaurant smelled so good inside and we were hungry. You sit really close to other tables and as such the table next to ours noticed me... More

Madretierra Patagonia - my B&B while in El Calafate - recommended to go and eat dinner. I had the Cazuela Dr Cordero. Very hot and very tasty. Wine selection suffices nicely. I heard three tables raving about the Lamb.

It's small but very cozy. The food was excellent, we shared an empanadas and then both had the lamb ravioli, which was delicious. The only complaint was some loud tourists on another table! Would definitely recommend!

We had a very good steak at this restaurant, The service was prompt and efficient but not particularly warm and friendly The menu does not have a particularly wide choice but as we wanted steak this was not a problem. The prices are OK The restaurant is a few connecting small rooms and where we sat did not really have... More

This little restaurant serves good quality food which has a home-cooked feel. Nothing flashy or pretty, just tasty and authentic. I wouldn't recommend it for an intimate, romantic night out, but if you are a traveller, back from traipsing over the El Calafate Patagonian sites, who wants a nourishing and delicious dinner, served by friendly and competent service staff, this... Delicious meal in a cozy little cottage on a neighborhood street in El Calafate. Chicken and salmon main courses with great side veggies. Bought the best bottle of wine they had -- a small production Syrah from Mendoza -- for $280 pesos (less than $25 at the unofficial exchange rate). The wait staff knew a little bit of English and... Make a reservation (!) and you will enjoy a very nice evening with a variety of starters, main courses, side courses and desserts (Argentine and Italian), served with very good wines. The service is good and the people working are friendly. The steak was indeed rare (as asked) and tasteful. The pasta and sauce were also very tasty. All and... More
