As Argentina is not a veg-friendly country, this is a safe heaven (even for non vegetarians!) where you can get a large variety of good food, nice environment, friendly staff. Off the main road, it's less touristic and more relaxed. Few tables, booking recommended.

We accidentally stumbled upon this place after our first choice restaurant was completely booked. The interior of the restaurant is cozy and they play nice music. The staff is cheerful and helpful! We both ordered the lamb chops and the mini bottles of red wine. We ended the evening with a tiramisu to share. The lamb chops were delicious although... More

This wasn't the first choice for the evening, but it was the right choice. You need to bring time with you here. The women serving here paid attention to detail, at their own pace. Still, it was worth the wait. The food was very good and a little different. In Europe this would almost pass as nouveau Cousine. Regardless of... More

Given the reviews I've seen here on Trip Advisor, I thought this place would be at least ok. Maybe they changed owners, maybe they have a new chef. I don't know, but this place's food is anything but good. The restaurant is in a nice place, a small, cosy house playing very good music. The staff was nice, although the... More

Based on the trip advisor reviews, we made reservations and really looked forward to our dinner her. The ambience is pretty cool. However the food was a total let down. We started off with meatballs, they were ok but nothing special. Then had the lamb and the chicken. The chicken was very dry - we left most of it. The... More

We were at this restaurant on 24th December and had to take an expensive set menu. Unfortunately the restaurant staff did not provide any flexibility in giving any options for vegetarian food. While the salad was good. the main course (risotto) was really average.

As a celiac person, finding gluten free food whenever I travel is essential but this can be a rather difficult mission in El Calafate. We ran across Kau Kaleshen by chance, decided to check out the menu and were surprised to see that they had gluten free labelled food on it. I had a lovely steak with bouchon potatoes and,... More

Came to this restaurant after an intense 7 hr hike at el chelten- my hubby and I were famished. The food was quite good, but took 1.5 hours to arrive... We almost passed out on the table

We arrived quite early for dinner and were seated immediately. Our hostess was lovely. Very sweet and polite. All food we tried was hearty and tasty and it was nice to have different options other than steak. Contrary to previous reviews it doesn't have a huge vegetarian menu but it certainly has more veggie/non steak dishes than other restaurants (that... More

We had high hope for this restaurant, reading all the nice comments on Trip, but we were pretty disappointed when we tried food. I had the trout and my husband the chicken. Both were so dry and overcooked, we had to leave the food. It is a really cosy restaurant and the service was good, I just wished they had... More
