Great ambience!

we went here every day during our stay in el calafate. They gave us free popcorn with every drink which was very nice. Cosy bar, with a relaxing athmosphere. The staff is friendly, but quite slow.

We stopped at this bar only for a simple coffee after midnight, but we loved it! Its a very well decorated and cozy place with famous quotes all around and we had a good service from friendly staff. I wish we had more time to come back there and have other drinks!

Totally agree with other reviews. DO NOT go to this bar if you want service, quick or slow. The waiters (especially the ones with dreadlocks) spend more time talking among themselves or shouting and kissing the arriving locals (a very Argentinian thing with blokes). Be prepared to wait for ages, if you want service downstairs or in the evenings, as... More

I do speak fluent spanish, so that wasn't the case. Server was rude. There were only two servers for I don't even know how many tables. Pretty sure they had to go upstairs to get food, which wasn't good. It's hard to avoid because it's right on the sidewalk along the main strip, but look for some place else that... More

Libro bar was a great place for us to enjoy a cocktail or coffee or beer after our hiking or day excurisons to perito moreno glacier. The beer selection is great, as is the specialty drinks and the food is pretty good as well. Large sandwiches are also available to take away, which proved useful for our 5 hour bus... More

If you are looking for local meat and cheese try the Table - smoked trout, boar, and deer paired with local cheeses ranging from very mild to sharp made from cows milk and sheeps milk, served with olives. A dark beer goes nicely with this.

I never spet time inside the - nicely decorated - Pub, but the terrace of the Librobar is a nice place for Long summernights in January!

We were recommended to go to this place by some friends- it has an interesting atmosphere, but overall I don't understand why it is rated so highly. IT IS A BAR, not a restaurant. We did eat a large appetizer platter here that was...interesting, but went somewhere else for dinner.

So I think we made a mistake, we had dinner here. To start the service was terrible, the servers were so busy talking amongst themselves that we had to get our own menus - we should have taken that hint and left at that point. We ordered food, pizza, hamburgers and fries. Horrible, worst I have ever had. The pizza... More
