Uruguayan owne runs the restaurant. It isn't fancy, but the seafood is excellent. Good value for money
Wonderful experience. For an coastal country it has very few seafood places. This one is run by a Uruguayan and his Argentine wife. He is witty and a jokester. I had a wonderful merlusa (hake) dish. The rice and prawns dish was outstanding. The menu is extensive.
We ate here on the recommendation of our guide. The decor was basic and the restaurant was located away from the main drag. The service was friendly and there was a huge choice of fish dishes. Orders are shouted up the dumb waiter to the kitchen and delivered down to the main dining area. We had the merluzza and a... More
you kind of expect good service from a place called Amigos and we did. i think it's a safe choice in terms of everything that you get from the drinks to the food to the.. check :) I liked what i got, but some other people's choices were even better looking. Definitely worth a shot if you are there.
We ate there only once, but that meal was superb, with fish and seafood dishes prepared with great care. The owner had a very proprietary sense of pride, and spoke personably about the history of the place. It was the best dinner experience during our four-day stay in El Calafate..
We spent 5 days in El Calafate and ate here twice - by far the best, and possibly would have eaten more. Great food, great local atmosphere.
This restaurant was very popular with locals and had a queue of people waiting for a table. Get there before 9pm.. We ordered their special steak meal (OK) and the seafood past - enormous portion and very tasty. Compared to other restaurants we visited in El Calafate, good value and excellent quality.
Ate dinner here during our recent visit to El Calafate. This restaurant is located a little outside of the main strip. A local family type restaurant serving mainly seafood. For tourists, there was no English menu and no one at the restaurant spoke any English. So couldn't really order what we wanted because no one was capable of explaining the... More
We had our last dinner in El Calafate in this restaurant based on local guide peolpe's suggestions. It is a simple restaurant attended mainly by locals where food is really delicious. We had Cazuela de moriscos: very good taste and in huge quantity. The owner is very friendly and prices really honest. Nadia
This restaurant is a bit past the town, the main strip, but worth the short walk over. The restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel, they suggested it as a place the locals go to for good seafood. So we got the trout (which the owner said was caught from Lago Argentina), and a salad. It was quite delicious,... More
