If you love meat, this is the place to eat at when in El Calafate! It is a carnivore's paradise and is known to have the best steaks in town as well as lamb, other meats and beef cuts. Reservations are a MUST, otherwise you could be waiting a long time or turned away. The airy dining room is comfortable... More

Really big portions. Two of us ordered the #1Mix and it was enough for four persons. If I returned, I would order the lamb and split it between two persons. Note that you only get meat so a side of vegetables or salad is required for a full meal. Inside the restaurant was on the warm side but then they... More

We made a reservation for 800pm. We were seated immediately. At about 830pm, there were many people standing in the waiting area waiting for a table. The place is well-sized, but I think the amount of time it takes to prepare everyone's meals, which are cooked-to-order, really makes table-time long, in addition to drinks and chatter, etc. We all enjoyed... The food was ok, but not great. It looked much better than it was. I had the hare -- maybe a mistake. Also, we had a reservation, but still had to wait 20 minutes, which I hate.

Had dinner for four. Hoping for an excellent grilled steak. Two had rib-eyes, one had sausages, and I had the rump steak. Sausage was excellent. Steaks had good flavor, but not particularly tender. Salads ver good, large and can be shared by two. Service efficient and professional.

The empanadas of chorizo and fried cheese to start were good and made us hopeful. A beef tenderloin entrée was ok, but it was seemingly difficult to get the proper cooking level. Two at the table were ordered medium, one was bloody the other nearer well done. But the trout was inedible. Hard with an unappealing taste to it. Calafate... More

Was okay. The annoying thing is that even if you have a reservation, you still need to wait, but it looks like its the same in other places. I enjoyed the meat more in Don Pichon.

It was nice to try the local Patagonian lamb, but this place was simply overpriced. I get that it's a town of a tourist trap, but I still felt like it wasn't worth the money. The pasta was not great.

Good, solid, food and good exposure to the Argentinian love of meat (I felt like I was in Mongolia sometimes....) and late night dining. Reservations are strongly advised since this place does a booming business. Note that it is very loud - not a great place if you having hearing aids - and folks are really packed in. Worthwhile dining... More
