Fine dining, lovely food but a little stuffy atmosphere

We chose La Posta to have a farewell meal with friends. This was the restaurant for our hotel, and provided a real fine dining experience. The lamb & risotto were excellent, as was the house malbec. The only downside is that in our 3 fine dinner there, we never got out in less than 90 minutes.

We chose La Posta for a farewell meal with a couple we'd met whilst touring Argentina. The location is beautiful, overlooking the stunning grounds of the Hotel Posada Los Alamos, the hotel to which it belongs. We found the atmosphere a little stuffy - perhaps a little background music would help warm up the ambiance? The staff seemed equally stuffy... More

We had some of the best lamb of our lives here. The staff was very nice and encouraged us to share an entree and not order too much food and like the title suggests the slow roasted lamb was amazing. The hotel also has a pretty good bar in another building if you want a drink afterwards. All and all... More

We enjoyed a really good dinner at this restaurant. Comfortable surroundings with excellent steaks and lamb dishes. Service was functional. Try the grilled vegetables.

La Poste is a elegant restaurant. It serves great lamb but the other dishes are also good. When the restaurant is full, the attention of the staff decreasing…. We gave them back one of our salads because there were several brown leaves in it….. we never saw it back! We wouldn’t rush back….

We passed this restaurant several times walking from our B&B into center of town. Figured it was probably bland and stuffy for our tastes. But after reading some reviews, and feeling lazy, we decided to give it a try. The dining area is quite large and seems rather formal, but no one was dressed in other than the usual casual... More

20 bucks for a 450 gr Gran Bife sounds like a great deal... a la carte, of course, but this place is pretty average, smells good, nice cordero, beef cuts are not more than average, no matter how you slice them. Decent wine list and mas o menos service, where they want you to take the chilled wine poured after... More

La Posta was a delicious restaurant serving up Argentinian fare. My husband ordered a small steak (big enough for lunch the next day); best so far in Argentina. Vegetarian options were limited, but they worked with me to make a delicious gnocchi dish. Service, all in Spanish, was excellent. The restaurant was formal, yet relaxed and many were dressed casually.... More
