We arrived at opening time and the restaurant quickly filled up with an interesting mix of locals and tourists. Our waiter was very helpful, suggesting we could share our main courses thereby avoiding overload. As always in Argentina, there was a super bottle of Malbec on offer. The decor was a bit wacky but that added to the charm of... More

Having had my fill of Argentinian beef and other meats, I was over joyed to find La Pura Vida. It's original, funky with very friendly staff and huge portions of wholesome food. We had to wait a short while for a table but caught up on our texts using their wifi. We were given menus while we waited and our... More

We were staying at the other end of town to it was a fair walk but we were handsomely rewarded for our effort The restaurant is eclectic with a relaxed hippy feel. The decor has a bright and young fee. The are also young, friendly and very helpful being very keen to make sure you have a good time The... More

We went along to Pura Vida at about 10.00pm after a big day out at the Glacier. It was pretty packed and we were lucky to get in. Food was nice - large servings and fairly quick service. The vegetarian meal was nice though a bit on the large size and maybe a bit too much cheese. Hit the spot... More

A very popular place which opens at 19:30 in the evening. Be there early - there were 30 people waiting outside before it opened. The restaurant is fairly rustic. Very enjoyable experience, reasonably priced. The bread was great.

Funky, low key restaurant on the edge of town with really delicious food that both locals and non-locals frequent. I had an amazing patagonian lamb stew covered with a homemade crust that was out of this world. My friend had a veggie dish over rice which she also loved, so both meat and non-meat are well represented. And, they serve... More

We enjoyed our dinner here because it was a lot different than most of the typical argentinian restaurants we came across during our 3 week trip. It's not necessarily refined but definitely different. A lot of comfort food type dishes. Beware, the portions are large so go easy on the bread and you can probably skip any starters.

Not highly recommended. We chose this restaurant to get a break from heavy Argentinian dinners, but were sorely disappointed. My wife chose a vegetarian cannoli dish that was still quite heavy and not that tasty. I asked the waitress for a recommendation of a dish that contained no onions. The dish we settled on contained about 2 cups of the... More
