No reservations are taken and the restaurant opens at 7.30 and is full by 8pm. Otherwise plan to come after 9 for the 2nd sitting. We ate here twice during our stay. We found the service lovely. To keep you amused while waiting for your order you are served a whole loaf of homemade bread. Be very careful with it... More

Planned to write a glowing review even before the restaurant owner insisted on driving us back to our hotel during a cold rain storm when our shuttle did not show up. She tried to call a taxi for us, but when none were available she just took us herself! That said this very cute place has such delicious, hardy fare... More

we thought we would just walk in at 10:00 pm but were surprised that the place was packed. After a 15 minute wait we were seated and had a great meal. We both had the chicken pot pie which was a very large portion that we could have easily split between the two of us.

Once in El Calafate whenever you want to eat a very good salad (Calafate's best one) go to Pura vida. After a large variety of steaks and lambs in Argentina, the "natural food" , vegetarian is more than welcome and you will find there. But it's not just a restaurant for vegetarians only, try the Lamb Pastel. Delicious!! A "must... More

This place was highly recommended at AirBnB where we were staying. I must say the food is pretty good. We wanted something different than the usual grilled meat so this place has pretty good options in their menu. The place is trendy with excellent food and drink choices. I had lamb stew and my friend had lentil soup. A must... More

We really liked the trendy, hip atmosphere. The food was really good, and they offered a lot of variety. The portions are HUGE, so plan to share!

We ate at this small restaurant on both evenings that we stayed in Calafate. It was friendly, trendy and with excellent food and decent wine. Not expensive and extremely convenient if you were staying at the Sierra Nevada hotel next door. Good stuff!

We tracked down Pura Vida for dinner and we thought the food was good. We had the salad completa and it was a meal in itself. It was fresh and delicious. The fresh hot bread was tasty. We had the lamb stew. At first impression you think it is going to be amazing but it really lacked taste. I think... More
