We went there following tripadvisor's list...Alto el Fuego was the 2nd, and it's a really deserved place! The empanadas were really tasty, juicy and crispy. The bread they give you as an entertainment was really tender, and the toasts in chimichurri sauce were simply addictive!!! As main courses I asked for lamb (cordero patagónico), and my husband asked for entraña.... More

Great lomo, ojo de bife, chips, wine, service. And morcilla. Couldn't ask for more. Will always return here for a meal out.

Upon entering Alto el Fuego, you might at first think that you've walked into a cute little tea house, with its mint green furniture and dainty decor. However, you will soon discover that there is nothing dainty about the beef served at this parilla. Juicy, charred, perfectly cooked and seasoned, the entraña (skirt steak) and bife de chorizo (sirloin steak)... More

One of our best meals while in Argentina. Alto el Fuego was recommended to us by a local resident and didn't disappoint. The lunchtime atmosphere was casual with 80s music in the background (the Cure, Smiths, etc.). Our server was attentive and very helpful when making our wine and meal selection. In particular, we recommend the arugula salad and matahambre... More

I liked it all and I could use my VISA. Has a lovely view of the lake as well, and of course the lake IS Bariloche.

Wow. This place is off the chain. Went for husband's birthday and ordered the chorizo starter, the trout and the ojo de bife for mains, with mashed potatoes and salad. Blew. Us. Away. The service was fantastic and we were incredibly spoilt. They even brought out a beautiful dessert with a candle in it for my husband. Lovely unassuming little... More

Argentina has some of the best steak in the world and Alto el Fuego is a really great place to get it! I had a 21oz. Ojo de Bife, which is the classic ribeye. I ordered it medium rare and it was the best steak i've ever had and for $12.00, you just can't beat it! If you go before... More

The restaurant is adorable: simple decoration, friendly staff and great food. The menu is small, what for me means quality! It is different from those restaurants that, for serving meat, set a rough, dark, heavy decoration. I do recommend this as the best restaurant in Bariloche.

This was our first meal in Bariloche and it did not disappoint. We got there at 3pm and were the only ones at the restaurant. Nevertheless, we had great service and the food was very good. Typical parrilla style food (empanadas, rib eye, sirloin, salad, fries).
