Where Chocolate is King

Here chocolate is a commercial high art. Just do it. Enjoy it. Buy it for gifts. Where else but Bariloche?

Had the Mamuschka sweet and a coffee. The sweet was nice but not great, and the coffee was mediocre. Staff was a bit indifferent. 3-star rating for me is a classic case of high expectations and mediocre experience. Liked rapa nui better.

It's pretty place and that's about it!! They charged 54 pesos for hot water!! 88 for orange juice!!! The washrooms were filthy!! And had no soap!!! I hope the servers are using a different washroom.

The decor is loud and noisy. Supposedly the red and gold should remind you of Mother Russia. Sadly the effect is more of a Disney Christmas. Since there is a shop in the same location the place is noisy and loud. The chocolate souffle was heavy and creamy. I am told that some people like it that way. I am... More

This is a chocolate store that also has some tables where to take a coffee or tea, rather than a reataurant. As a matter of fact, we had tea there and the cakes were realy lovely, with a good service.

Chocolate fantastic too, as are the pastries. Visited during a Tuesday afternoon and the crowd was minimal. Two days earlier and you could barely move around the store much less get a seat. Will definitely be back

A shop with an excellent variations of chocolates, a little bit expensive but with very good taste. Centrally located between most important streets of Bariloche and the main lake.

During your visit to Bariloche I recommend visiting this place, especially if you are a chocoholic. This is a very impressive store, with beautiful chocolate displays & an incredible amount of chocolate for sale. I met the owner when I bought some candy there & he was super friendly. I also liked the taste of their chocolate very much. The... More

If you like Hershey's chocolate, you might like this as it has a very similar texture, but it's not for me. They do have a very large selection, so maybe it was just the few pieces that we got that were like that. However, the rotten brown maraschino cherry in the middle of one of the chocolates was pretty disappointing... More

Martin D, Director Comercial at Mamuschka, responded to this review

Dear Customer, We regret that you had made a huge error of judgment. The bonbon you mention as maraschino cherry is not a maraschino cherry. It is a "Cerisette" . Someone who knows about chocolate, identifies it immediately. The Cerisette consists in a cherry, with the stub, that was macerated in cherry liquor. Technically it`s impossible to have a cherry... I really don't understand enthusiasm about this place. Chocolate is of middle quality, crowded lines to take for any order or to sit on the tiny coffee corner an absolutely overpriced coffee and tea offer... Look for small chocolaterias like in Avenida Pinheiros km 4,6 for really artesanal products or, in the center, go to Rapa Nui where you surely... More
