Ate here because of TA listing. Lived up to expectations. Booked by email link. Couple speak excellent English so no problem if that is easier for you. Venue is shabby chic but very clean and stylish. Short menu has about four choices per course. We ate empanadas and garlic mushrooms to start; skirt steak and chorizopan mains then one pudding.... This place is worth booking (via email or what's app). Excellent simple menu focused on meat and simple side salads. For once a place that thinks about the salad next to a steak. The mushroom starter is very tasty too. In Bariloche for steak go here and Albertos (get the lomo).

New to us on our fourth trip to Bariloche, found on Trip Advisor, our best all around experience. Founded by a couple, one from Brazil, the other from Mendoza who met while working in the US, and moved here to open the restaurant because of their interest in outdoor activities. As advised we made reservations and were greeted with smiles... More

This very small restaurant is very cosy, the owners are very helpful, speak good english, and forthcoming. The Chritzo steak was fabulous! Overall a very good experience. You have to make a reservation!

Great food and very nice atmosphere and service. With the husband in the kitchen and the wife serving it's a small place but the service is perfect as is the food. Make a reservation and taste the best steak in Argentina!

Hands down, the best restaurant in Bariloche. Alto el Fuego is good, but a more typical good Argentina steakhouse, vs. La Salamandra that goes the next level with more creative food, albeit a small menu....but that is the charm. This is where the locals go.....the front door is locked, but a loud knock on the door and must have reservations... More

....go to this restaurant. My wife and I were looking for somewhere to eat one evening in Bariloche and saw the great reviews of this restaurant on trip advisor. Noting the recommendation to book in advance, I dropped the owners a quick email, and they got back to me literally a minute later to confirm the booking. It turned out... More

We had our hotel make reservations here as we read that these were a must given the small size of the restaurant. It opened at 7:30 and being Americans we wanted to eat earlier than the Latins. When we arrived we had the place to ourselves until another American couple arrived. So even though the place is hard to get... More

By far the best restaurant we experienced in Bariloche, and the best experience overall in the entire city! We read TripAdvisor reviews ahead of time and yes, you need to email or call them for a reservation. They will get back to you promptly, and the reason they do this is the small intimate environment of the restaurant. The dynamic... More

We went two nights in a row, knowing our last night in Bariloche would be a disappointment after a magnificent first night dinner. Great place that is put together with great care to re-create a traditional pulperia, with a simple approach to fresh and good food and a no-nonsense approach to great wine. Run with passion by the owners.
