A small menu but delicious food. Empanadas were juicy and tasted as they should. The ojo de bife was enough for the 2 of us. And it came with a yummy salad which is hard to come by.

One of the best meals in Bariloche. While the outside of this tiny restaurant looks like a typical house, the inside will amaze you with its character and Argentinian decor. From home made bread, to amazing rib eye, cheesy potatoes, awesome chimichurri, and dulce de leche crepe, not one detail was left out of this decadent authentic Argentinian parrilla. This... More

We ate at a few restaurants in Bariloche, and this was by far the best. The ribeye (ojo de bife) was juicy and flavorful, the salami and cheese tasty, and the house wine was great, especially for the price. We also ordered the loaded potato chips covered in chives and sour cream. It was a delicious spin on a baked... More

I took my daughter to this restaurant a few nights ago for dinner. We emailed our reservation request the night before and they were very prompt getting back with our confirmation. When we arrived the were very kind and spoke English so we could understand the menu. The meals were great along with the tremendous service. We were on our... More

Went there on our last night in Argentina ..... And it was the best in our entire 2 week trip. The owner spoke English and suggested we share one steak as it was a large portion. It was more than enough and we did not even have space for dessert. The fresh bread and dip was very more-ish, and the... More

We read great reviews about this place and we were warned that a reservation is required. It's true, a reservation is required but you can send an email and you will receive a prompt response. This restaurant is a small place with @15 tables about 6 km from the city but it's worth the trip. The local bus service runs... More

My husband and I have been in Patagonia for a week now, and this was by far the best meal and service we've found, especially for the price. You just can't beat a bottle and a half of house wine and six empanadas (w house made dough) for 110 pesos! The food was superb, and the restaurant is cozy and... More

We got to know the reservation thanks to a friend's recommendation. We made the reservation on the same day, but it was not an issue at all. As a starter we had the empanadas that were OK, but not fantastic. However, everything changed when they served us the steak (which we shared). It is definitely one of the best ones... More

As all the other reviews indicate, we had a very warm welcome last night at La Salamandra. The empanadas are as good as others have reviewed and the steak delicious and perfectly seasoned. The house wine is a must too. We're only here for 4 days and I am trying to persuade my girlfriend to go back again!

We were recommended El Salamandra by our apartment manager & had done no research. When we arrived we were amazed by how accommodating they were, how the hostess managed to find the time for all the guests & still serve unflustered. The wine was superb, and the steak to die for (Ojo de bife, rare & med-rare). As other reviews... More
