My favourite restaurant in Bariloche

Great setting, helpful and friendly owner and good food. Very different from most of the restaurants in Bariloche, a 7 course taster menu which is expensive but nice to go once in a while.

What a treat! From the outside this restaurant nestled in the trees looks ordinary ; however, when one steps inside, one marvels at the superb views of the lake and the peaks. Make sure to arrive early to choose your table by the window and enjoy the light fading. Immediately upon our arrival we were greeted by Ernesto, the owner/manager,... More

I was quite astonished at the meal we had at this restaurant last night. The setting is beautiful, with great views of Lago Gutierrez, but the food and wine were the stars of the evening. There's no menu as such; it's a set 7 course degustation menu, but they will change it for you if you have a dietary or... More

We arrived just before sunset, and with the beauftiful views of the lake and mountains right outside the restaurant, we knew we were going to have a wonderful night. We were not disappointed! The seven course meal was full of flavors, textures, and temperatures that kept us wanting to try more. The waiter recommended a nice wine that complimented the... More

At the end of the seven course meal, my wife and I were both of the view it may have been the best meal we ever had. The portions, the flavours, the variety and the presentation were all excellent. Ernest was a delightful host. The comments of Laura S and Joanne K are right on. You will not go wrong at... More

My husband and I ate at Cassis last night and it was an unforgettable experience. The restaurant was near our hotel which is quite far out of Bariloche so we looked it up on tripadvisor, not expecting much. Clearly it has rave reviews so we decided to try it out for ourselves. When you walk in nothing will prepare you... More

Best meal we've had in Argentina, even better than I Latina in Buenos Aires. The 7 course menu serves up a modern take on traditional Patagonian flavors. Our one menu choice was hare or lamb. We did one and one, and while the lamb was great, the hare was the highlight of our evening. Plumb, juicy, and perfectly cooked, it... More

We were two families eating out in Bariloche. We were expecting a high quality meal but were not expecting the 7-course meal. Each course was delicious, creative and thoughtfully described by Ernest. One dish was better than the next. A few memorable plates were the shrimp with wild rice, the frothy sorrel soup, and the fois gras with apple chutney.... More

Creative offerings impeccably executed served with warmth and humor in a comfortable room with panoramic views -- need we say more? The seven-course tasting menu is well balanced and perfectly proportioned, including herbs and greens just picked from the restaurants own garden. Don't miss Cassis if you are anywhere in the vicinity!

We were hungry and we arrived with many food allergies. We didn't realize Cassis was a 7 course fixed menu and started to leave. Ernest, the owner/manager, said he would fix it so we could stay. We believe he had 7 courses cooked just for us! It was heaven. The setting was spectacular, the courses were perfectly served and timed.... More
